  1. I can give you the part number LUND #12077
  2. Is this the same truck painted in a 1978 Brockway factory photo? Paul
  3. Going through a milk crate of truck photos I purchased a while ago, found this 1963 FWB, with a Budd cab .. Paul
  4. NYC Transite Authority Retireree's association has a restored MACK model C- 49 bus that they regularly let groups ride on city tours through Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn one Sunday a month. Pretty cool. Paul
  5. This was in Old Bethpage L.I. yesterday. First drive to the camp site. Slight turn in the road, Broke a pole with high voltage feed, a sign and 4 trees. Just short of rolling over. The newly retired couple "just purchased it a few days ago"
  6. When we first bought the property there was a track in Louisa, closed idown but it is all intact. I ran road courses a few times. Bridge Hampton in the late 70's with a Crown Corv8 and a few runs at Lime Rock with a 66 vette. Nice experience but just not my cup o tea. Vladd, that's not polished it's Jet Hot Thermal Coating to keep the air charge cool as possible, good for a few h.p. Larry, your friends run is impressive, even more so considering what stock parts he is running! I have a target ET that Ohio George and I came up with and this is the first "Laptop adjustable" unit I've ever run to set it for air density, altitude and temp plus a few other items at the track and as the day changes to reset it. Gone are the days of re jetting, re timing and such. Kind of feels like cheating but that seems to be the only way to compete with the big boys. Paul
  7. Was that a Blue thing with a bubble on the roof and a vise on the front bumper? Paul
  8. This is my last race car. Started racing when I was 17 and I'm 61 now and really not a 100% into it after this Panceaitis attack. Ran gassers, a funny car, bikes and a ton of "street cars". When we get all moved to Virginia and the track isn't a 240 mile round trip I'll probably feel better. Paul
  9. I've always had good luck with PPG Del Star, Del Fleet must be along the same line. Paul
  10. it was mini tubed at fit 10.5 Hoosiers under the quarters. The rear is fully adjustable Competition Engineering 4 link with progressive load, adjustable coil overs, front is the QA1 Pro Comp System from K frame to struts. Uniting it all together will be a set of Granatelli subframe connectors that will go in with the Alston Pro Street cage.
  11. Beautiful!!! A B Model with them would make it ideal! Two of the 3 best Macks made IMO. Paul
  12. You're right. I never moved a building, but common sense tells me to pre check the route for clearances and road conditions. I would also think the people issuing the highway permits would have a say. What is interesting is the single orange flag, no Wide Load and no escort vehicles in sight. Move a house? Sure Buckwheat has a big wagon and Spanky's got a trailer hitch on his bike and Darla's got a orange dress...lets do it!!
  13. Geez Bobby, it's only a little 4 cylinder . . . The car is going Monday to have the cage fitted and the fire system installed at Mustang Magic. Than off to E town to get NHRA Certified and have the wife shoot some video. Paul.
  14. This is what I went to Dayton to pick up. It was built, installed, tested and tuned by Ohio George Montgomery at his speed shop. In 1973 George ran a 2.3 turbo Pinto, won a the 73 Summer nationals and set 14 records with it. With 70's technology he ran 135 @ 10.10 with 500 RWH.P. He also ran a 70 Mustang AA/gas with a twin turbo 429. He missed the national record by .07 seconds. After talking with him I figured he's the one to build it. 1984 SVO the 2.5 was punched to 2.8. Cross flow dual plug head, 120 lb. Shelby GT40 Injectors, 76 mm Air Research Turbo, Freon Air to Air Intercooler. Crankcase Vacuum pump and 4 stage Nitrous but it is not charged . For the high points of the mods. Turbo runs 30 lbs boost and was run up to 42 lbs boost with no problems. Feeding through a 5 speed Tremac and a Moser 9 inch Detroit Locker with 3:89 gears in put 530RWHP @ 35 lbs boost on E-85R Sunoco Racing Fuel. Last photo is the car in original as purchased form.
  15. Congratulations my friend!!! And a girl too. . .see many sleepless nights in the distant future All said and done FANTASTIC!!!! Paul P.S. Hows your back problem?
  16. I like the first pic WAAAY in the beginning.. We had a few of the M-52's when I was "vacationing" in S.E. Asia in 1971. Paul
  17. I"m curious also. I found that in 1941 and 42 MACK made EHUT and the military version of the EMU powered with a BUDA-LaNova 6dt389 Diesel, physically close to the END 354 and the Cummins also. I do see the company is still family owned and still in Jackson Heights. Queens. I may call them to see if they have any info or photos. Worse they can do is hang up. Paul
  18. From what I read it was all planned by Garmen. Paul
  19. Yuor work looks excellent! I always wondered what a lot of the ones done on TV look like a a year or two. well I saw one of Boyds cars at a show about 4 years after "he" built it...Sloppy and lot of plastic checking. Paul
  20. Nice work. What paint did you use? Paul
  21. The Taylor looks to have a kinship to my Scoop Mobile. Paul
  22. And it doesn't stop there.
  23. That what was thinking, but there a1937 Orange AC that has a Cummins HB600 dealer installed when new and it's a few inches longer than the Gas 6. Would the 4 been a Bseries or the Marine style Cummins ran at Indy in 1930's? Paul
  24. Only Quad lights I've seen on R's were on a few Fire Trucks and Australian R's.
