Our premiums doubled $194.00 extra a month for "out of area coverage" $12000 dedutable higher co pay on meds less coverage and my service related medical issues are not covered. To quote Blue Cross "go to your VA". Now if I was an illegal I'd have premium coverage for free. The money I spent for the hospital in Springfield was half of what they charge the insurance companies. Better off cancelling the entire thing and pay cash!

Went to Dayton Ohio left early Easter morning and got there late Monday. Took a new friends 2014 Ford F450 one car carrier to get my Mustang SVT from Ohio George Montgomery's Speed Shop. They built my 2.7 and dialed it in 90% for me. Tuesday loading the car I feel like crap but figured once on the road I'd perk up. Got just to Springfield and could barely drive from the pain in my side and back. Got an Ohio Trooper to lead me to the closest hospital. Learned after a few tests I had an attack of Pancreatis. Now I had already given them my Empire Blue Cross card. Surprise we can't treat you because the N.Y.S. insurance does not have the ''out of area'' rider. I paid $5400 cash for two days in the hospital with an IV. Left and went to a Days Inn and waited 3 days for my friend Doug to arrive from South Portland Maine to help me get the car, truck and my butt home to L.I. So heres what I figured I'd pass on to the group. Not all health insurance policies under the ''New and Better'' healthcare system cover you away from home. I learned the the insurance N.Y.S. allows to be sold here didn't cover me off Long Island. I now have to pay an additional $194 a month for ''select'' 48 state coverage. Check your policy to be sure you are covered on the road. Paul

  12. Amen to that. Watched a 30 ish couple in a new F350 crew cab with a 36 or 38 foot fifth wheel RV trailer with a Jeep Liberty on a tow bar this morning. They pulled into 7/11's side lot and than found they couldn't make the turn to get to the exit. Couldn't back the combo up to get out the entrance. I watched the circus act for about 10 minutes and finally left. The entire time looking at the big " I rented this from L.I. RV & Trailer Sales" sign on the back of it. Paul
  13. At one point I was averaging a $1000 to $2000 a week street racing it. The front end is 5/8 inch 4130 do keep the bike down. Final Configuration was 105 c.i. 9' 6" from axle to axle and I would generally race at a 100 mph roll. Here it is in it's last rebuild in 1981. Now it crated and off to VA. Paul
  14. Was it at the Hayes Museum or the Golden Age of Trucking Museum? . I only have the pic because the Box came from Froelicks Farm in Huntington L.I. and my cousin Gene and I chased after the MACK for years

  24. The Youngbloods restored the truck in the Dodge ad.It was 1st sold and the one that Dodge used in the ads. Acording to Tony there was a total of 261 Bighorns made in the 3 year run. The last word on the 1975 Short nose Bighorn prototype he was restoring was in November 2013, it was 85% restored and the nose was being fitted. Here's the link to the pics on his site. Go to photos and open restoration album. http://www.olddodges.com/index1.htm.
