  1. I got it when Roanoak Sand, Gravel and Ready Mix's yard of cool old equipment was disposed of. Their yard was on Rte 58 in Riverhead. John (TRUCK1536) Thought his father drove it for a Nassau County company when it was new in 1961. Certified or Prefered ?? I don't recall who it was originally right now. It's been green and orange since new.
  2. Sure look like Commanders.
  3. My B mixer when I first got it

  6. Can't get more wicked than this!
  7. Looks like one of the shipping war super truckers.
  8. The DOT doctor I went to from the list was a Chiroprator in Middle Island. Whistled right trhrough. I agree with Rowdy know the rules and know your enemy. We have a Sullfolk DOT inspector who likes to issue multiple tickets for a single failure...3 different tickets for a blown tail light. Even though thats "illegal".
  9. I touched a new Challenger body at Muscle Car Magic . . . OOOOOOOOH MOPARRRRRR. . .wish I could justifiy the cost to my wife. A 65 Coronet would be better.
  10. Rev it again, I think I found the miss.
  11. Looking at a short list of whats reproduced, a B or R would have the best shots. Here is a partial list of whats there for the car crowd. With all these why wouldn't a B or R body be possible? 12. Welcome to our little corner of the asylum
  13. Looks more run down now that it was "saved"
  14. What is it out of? Looks like a miner /logger unit.
  15. It was a 5/3 with a RXC Hercules 529 cubic inch Flathead Six. REX 9 yarder filled with good ole stagnant water. Damn I wanted that truck. I'm still negotiating on the Mystery Autocar
  16. Rare MACK Twin Turbo V8 1923 AC AB
  17. There was one at the Kemp Auction, I got out bid on it. [/url ]
  18. Maybe like Dynacorn's replacement bodies and cab units. Brand new bodies the take repro or oem parts to build what you want. Body assemblies seem to be the biggest draw back for most people. A complete new cab assembly would sure make it easier for a ton of people
  19. The base board stop works , the can not so much.. worth it though she holds the door.
  20. I fear they did a better job than quite a few of our college grads could do here... we don't teach them to think outside the box or accept a failure... T Ball mentality here.
  21. A sickly dying squeek. . .
  22. Forgot to add, TheTH400 (Turbo Hydromatic) is probably the most inexpensive way to go but limits highway usage. The L480 is the same in the GM family pick ups and such but a unit is in the $2000 plus price range and needs a stand alone control module for it. Lokar shifter similar to what the truck has about $200 to 300., Trans cross member $35 to $55. trans cooler $25 to $50.. Drive shaft modified to GM yoke depends on one piece or two piece shaft and what trans is chosen. Misc cooler lines and fitting probably under $100. rest it time and labor. Here is an example of the LOKAR Shifter. Looks almost factory.
