    Holy Crap

My wife looked at my collection of stuff an muttered she'll need a lot more dumpsters than she thought. Than called me a hoarder. She will really flip when we start moving things the spring and summer ... she hasn't been in the barn in a very long time.
  5. I'll get in touch next week Paul
  6. 1959 says the add, looks like an air start tank in the left side. A company now called RampStar made CBE MACK conversions ( K.W., GMC, Dodge and Diamond T also) for Military aircraft refuelers and aircraft cargo conveyor trucks. There is a fuzz picture in Bart Vanderveen's book on A Record of Military MACKS in the Services and Beyond. Ottawa also made similar styled rail yard goats.

  10. Yeah, the Superliner roof looks off in the front. With a visor and lights though..
  11. As soon as I can get to them where they are in winter storage. I'll give you the numbers for the valve springs, valves, aluminum pistons and the insert rod bearing set up instead of the babbeted bearings. I am looking for a one Alloy High Hat head for mine. Paul
  12. I went with them for 4 reasons. 75 years in the general spring business, OEM for some engine makers, they can possibly cross reference OEM Part Numbers and can make them if they do not have them for a very reasonable price. You AB engine is the same or same family as the AC and AC6 engines made to the mid to late 30's. I was told they were a common off the shelf spring when I started my "quest" for engine parts. Paul
  13. My 1961 is body color- green and Burly Horans 1962 B61 in body color also. I personally like the idea of a corresponding color on the hat and brackets . . .eye candy. Paul
  14. Century Spring Co. I gave them the unloaded height, diameter, wire diameter, number of coils and i.d. They matched what I needed for my AC engine from their stock. http://www.centuryspring.com/ Compression Spring Dimensions Hold the base of the spring in one hand, and the calipers in the other hand. Place the calipers on the outside of the last coil, measuring the largest dimension. This is called the Outside Diameter (O.D.). Place the calipers on the wire in the center of the spring. This is called the Wire or Material Size. You should also measure the wire toward one end for comparison and accuracy. Place the calipers on the full length of the uncompressed spring. This is called Free Length. Count the total coils, beginning at one end, just next to where the wire has been cut. Be sure you count all coils, including any portion of a coil. (see diagram for example).
  15. Almost no body from the top to bottom apparently posses any common sense.
