In 2008 Obama talked of how he wanted to create a single payer health care system for the U.S.A. like Europe has, but that Americans would never easily accept it. Well on saturday's speech Mr Obama mentioned that if the ACA system has to many bugs to work out he (with the senates help) will switch it to the Single Payer System under HHS control and most of the private sector health system. Seems there was a small two line rider with all the rest of the pork in the latest budget delay legislation that will allow this. Seems to me like ACA was designed to fail in 18 to 24 months of implamentation, so he can get his original European Style plan in, so the Feds have full control of your health and well being... I will abide by the ACA law by paying my $95.00 "fine". Paul

1981 I had to special order my Bronco with a stick, a 300 inch six and rubber floor mats took 6 weeks to deliever. So it started near there. 1988 Ordered my Dodge 150 pick up truck, 239 v 6, 4 speed ps pb heavy duty cooling system charging system and dual batteries NO carpets, AC, Radio, power windows or other luxery crap. it took 3 weeks from Dodge to get delievered. My 2007 Focus to 9 weeks to get because of the 6 speed stick. Went to Ford, Dodge, GMC and even Toyota for a 2013 Standard cab pick up, 8 foot bed and I wanted a stick, vinyl interior, plain mats and not much else. Don't make a stick in any of them, execpt Toyota and that is a "paddle shift" auto stick. Can't get them with out full power options, AC, chrome crap and other stuff that the dirt, mud and salt water will kill off quick. BUT all the sales "people" keep telling me about the crash avoidence system, back up alert system, Electronic traction control, the 80 airbags and the video and audio sound system. Plus side is that my family, most repair shops for the state inspections and car jackers can't drive any of my vehicles cause of the stick shifts.

Went grocery shopping with my wife a while back (not allowed to anymore!) Coupons, specials and non of the top shelf stuff. Splurged and bought a pound of shrimp for myself. At the register watch a lady ahead of us, with gold jewellery, nails, make up and designer clothes buying steaks and lobster and alot of top line foods with a Food Stanmp card to the tune of over 500 bucks! Buying a "brand new old car" is worth what the buyer paid for it, although Indiana DMV was requiring titles issued on the auctioned MSO cars, it is still new. What I saw was the interview with the guy who bought the Suburban for 14k to make a resto rod, he figured about 50k more to do the drive train and interior and clear coat it to save the "patenia".. The person who bought the '69 Chevelle SS for 27k said point blank he bought for the "numbers" to make a plain Chevelle to a SS. One couple made sense on buying a '77 Mona 2+2 with 4 miles on it, "we paid to much for it, it will cost to much to restore then it will ever be worth, but it's a twin to the car we had when we first met, honeymooned it and brought our first baby home in. BUT some purchases were just plain Auction frenzy purchases. Curious what will end up in the Car Corral from that auction when I'm at Hersey next week. Paul
