Stedda Performace for the ignition system. Paul
  6. June 1884 production date. Gathering up parts to do a complete 'new' race engine ( stroker crank, girdled block, dual plug hollinger head, air to air with large turbo, etc) should get 600 plus with the set up. I'll store all the original drive train away to reinstall some time. Paul

  11. Great workVlad! Does the steering gears run in grease or oil? My AC's have a mix of oil and grease...odd. I'm waiting for the final price on the harness for your unit with the added conversion for the directionals added into the convoy / black out light harness and the reverse light wires. Talked to him this morning. Paul

  19. Got to spend the better part of today on the Land Marked F.D.N.Y. Fire Fighter Fire Boat at Greenport. Joined the volunteers doing restoration work on it. She was built in Staten Island in 1938 at a cost of just under One Million Dollars. 138 feet long, 35 foot beam, a pair of GM 16-278A diesels of 1600 h.p. each. Worked the NYC port area for more than 70 years. Fought the fire on the Normande and was almost caught under the liner when it capsized. She spent close to a week at the Trade Center pumping water to the crews on site. She actually pumped so much water the pumps wore out. Re fitted and than retired in 2010/ 2011. She was the most powerfull fireboat in the world at one time. Nice to touch a part of history! Paul
  20. Good for you!! you got a good truck.
  21. The second to last photo is Norma Jean in 1946 before Hollywood tarted her up. The Blue Angles was taken at the Naval Weapon s Center / Grummans Calverton in 1955 . The jet is a Grumman F9F Panther and a C54/ DC4. It was their entry in to the jet age. Now that the White House has Disbanded the Blue Angles, the Thunder Birds and the Golden Knights because of the Sequester, I felt this would be a good photo for their RIP. Paul
