In his budget talk today he mentions the will be some lost jobs, the head of Northrup Grumman and Boeing agreed that there will be job loss in the Defense Industry... to the tune of 7 to 8 MILLION TOTAL Jobs in the defense industry, trucking, parts suppliers, sub contractors, tool and machine makers, food service and construction / maintenance and other DOD dependent companies .

Apparently the "plea deal" goes down today. The ADA and DA tell me I have no say in the "deal". I guess the county will apologize for inconveniencing him and his friend from following their life of crime.. I'm going to have to go to the papers and his opposition to question his departments "tough " stance on crime and punishment. All cutsy Bull Sh#t...when do I get justice? Lots of well cared for trucks, MACKS, International, Petes, Freightliners and some tired Soviet stuff and a few older U.S. GM units Most look like what you'd find in any major city. Hell one garage looked like Robbs!! What I didn't see was any older MACK R , U or DMs but a few nicely cared for Fire Trucks. That is our society...instant gratification and no concept of how the real world works. Watch another reality show where they build a house or a car in a week. My peeve is the road in plowed to the asphalt and the a$$ pushes all their snow into it, and than bitches that the road wasn't cleared well by the lazy plow driver.

We have a shop on L.I. called Gen -Rite and I've had a few Alternators done there that are Corvair Truck specific. Gen-Rite asked me if I wanted the alternator Re manufactured or Rebuilt. I ask what the difference was and learned the a rebuild has only the bad or worn parts replaced and a re manufactured has the bearings, brushes and other wear parts replaced and all the hard parts like the armature and stator checked and returned to factory specs. For a normal job I'll try to get new or a OEM re manufactured, not much difference in price and no waiting.
