  4. They are using A Cat loader with a fork attachment to move cars to the side of the roads to plow them open, We had stuck police cars, fire trucks civilian cars and even State and County snow plows. Even a house collapse from the weight of the snow in Selden. Worst than people expected I guess.

  6. We didn't have those ROE when I was in Viet Nam, your war is much different and your ROE is confusing , at least to me. All Nixon controlled was the BUFFs. Point is since when does the president gain the power to pick targets of what he alone believes is an enemy?
  7. Some lights and a fresh bumper it wouldn't be a bad truck. IMO Paul
  8. I'm only mobile for 200 feet . the rest of my area is not opened up til maybe late tonight or tomorrow and the State and county just closed all the parkways, 495 and Sunrise Highway so the can clear the abandoned cars and plow them. Supposed to be bringing in National Guard plows according to Como. Political I expect.
  9. 29 to 31 inches. I plowed the street in front of my driveway. Can't hit main roads because of abandoned yuppie 4x4s....
  10. I was going to suggest that, I have more faith in high draw systems for breakers. Keep us posted. Paul
  11. They've got 20" in Port Jefferson as of now and we have about 12" at our house in Shirley as of midnight...Thats hat winters about though, can't have sun and bikinis all the time.
  12. From what I've found through research and on the AC's I've got, it seems to be a standard up grade on both AB's and AC models. One for a better ride and higher speeds, two for easier maintenance as the solid rubber was an expensive to have replaced and third to match the tires on all the trucks if you had a few units. Rear... any guess is possible, higher speed, what was around at the time or an up grade? The double Reduction was prototyped and tested on an AC and one other unknown Mack ( the Ac is equipped with wooden spoke wheels and pneumatic balloon tires ) in early 1918 and went into production early in 1919 on some trucks and a few buses according to John Montville's book. Mr Schumacker told me that MACK also used up stocks of parts and apparently would use the up graded parts in the early years, so it could have been a late production model. On the Crane carrier I bought after Christmas, it has Good Year wheels on the rear axle and Budds on the front, but the tire sizes match and was converted to a 4 speed trans axle. They are from the time of use what you have to run them I suppose. Paul
  13. Those were standard on Bus chassis. The Budd's are the same set up on one of my AC's. but were an aftermarket conversion, same as the Good Year Pneumatic wheel conversion kits from the late teens and twenties. I have an original Budd Pneumatic catalog in my AC stuff from about 1919. Paul
  14. ALL sweet looking Macks...
  15. I know Vlad, David added the bit about the rep.... Paul
  16. sno removal
  17. This was mine after I sold it to my cousin.... 401, tunnel ram, 3 stage laffin gas and a 727 torqueflite. Been in the shop now for 3 years now getting clipped.
  18. I'm all set. Got momma one of them ergonomic snow shovels at Wal Mart so she don't hurt her back, a extra big garbage bag so she don't get to wet and a pair of new suspenders for my waders so her feet don't get wet..... in real life the plows on my Dodge and the plow and chains are on my tractor. I optimistically expect 10 inches or less
  19. Got any Donahue Editions? Paul

  21. Jersey seems to always have confusing DMV info like Cali. I agree just get a A CDL.
  22. Seems our leader has give him and any "high level official" the power to execute us with out evidence or trial on their orders. The quoted phrase is extracted from the memo, which claims that the law reposes into the hands of any unnamed “high-level official,” not necessarily the president, the lawful power to decide when to suspend constitutional protections guaranteed to all persons and kill them without any due process whatsoever. This is the power claimed by kings and tyrants. It is the power most repugnant to American values. It is the power we have arguably fought countless wars to prevent from arriving here. Now, under Obama, it is here. Obama has argued that he can kill Americans whose deaths he believes will keep us all safer, without any due process whatsoever. No law authorizes that. His attorney general has agreed with the Justice Department lawyers persuaded a judge that the president always follows the law. Did you consent to a government that can kill whom it wishes? How long will it be before the presidential killings comes home? http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/02/07/obama-gives-himself-permission-to-kill/
  23. Good ideas, couldn't think clear enough to see what the DA says on the deal and the local rags might print. Thanks. Rowdy I dislike "family" gatherings and most of my surviving family. I don't let people I consider friends come to my house, no less family in fact since I was in the service, I generally dislike and distrust mostly all people I have to tolerate to work. Happier working at my business with mamma, my hounds and some music. Just a typical old style East Ender
