  1. Don't look like a Big Cam IV that's for sure unless it's a spare parts rebuild? Definitely a BC IV 797 pump though. Big Cam III Big Cam III engines were introduced in 1983. The features in this engine were: New pressed steel oil pans instead of aluminum, a very noticeable feature. New oil cooler and water pump. Top Stop injectors modified to Direct Fuel Feed. First use of the Holset HT3B turbocharger.
  2. That B30 was on here for sale in 2015 in Harrisburg Pa for $15,000 OBO The AC and AB are pretty nice but lot of money for non runners especially the AC with all the plug wires cut and removed. At leas in my opinion.
  3. I figured that with the gaggle of tanks.
  4. The CPL # 797 on the pump shows it as a Big Cam IV from about 1985 to 1989 or 1990 when the NTC14 came out I think. My data shows the # by the pump. H.P. shows 350, 365 and up to 400. Not sure the differences though. Something I believe with their "new" mechanical timing possibly? Known Big Cam IV CPL numbers 642 658 673 674 675 676 718 749 794 795 796 797 806 811 812 814 821 827 832 833 838 840 903 904 905 910 911 974 1185 1186 1187 1188 1210 1211 1352 Big Cam IV engines were introduced in 1985. The features in this engine were: New intercooler introduced. Cross flow engines introduced. Cylinder heads modified, not interchangeable with earlier models. Electronic Injection Begun Pulse manifolds improved. However, it appears not all Big Cam IV engines had all the new features. Some new engines are called Big Cam IV are not cross flow engines - they look more like Big Cam III engines, with the Big Cam III look intercooler, but they do have new-type pulse manifolds of the IV.

  6. I would mark where the engine and transmission mounts are setting now, loosen the engine and trans mounts from the chassis and than the trans to bell housing bolts. Give it a few good strong shakes and re tighten the Trans bolts and than the mounts. Most likely their positions will have shifted some after you re set it all.
  7. Lots of nice work widening the cab and fabbing the hood and grill units. Appears the be a GM or Dodge chassis, Motorhome?? Click to choose files
  8. The F850 Super Duty got the new cab in 1970 model year.

  12. It's going to be a bit to dig it out, it's still boxed from our move to Virginia. It was published around 1990. We got it when we took my 41 Chevy to the 50th anniversary of the Pa. Tpke.

  14. It was in a book about building the inter state highway system from 1956 to 1974 Both were 12V D.D.'s according to the write ups.
  15. Did you notice if any of the B's had the aluminum tanks? It would be worth my while to get a few of hem.
  16. Most shops, my dads included would slide a new chassis under the unit and update lighting. Big change on my pops was going to a tow sling from the bang bar and tire in the early 1960's.
  17. GMC Crackerbox with Fruehauf Super Dump Five R's Excavation1967. Note that the entire unit has singles mounted. Jimmy has a D.D. 12V Turbo for power.

  19. It was said in the beginning it got hit in the Rt/ Frt corner by a loader. I always thought the power pack was misaligned because of a tweak in the rails. Also thought R and R on the trans with the tweak skewed the fit of the trans to the bell housing / engine. My thoughts any how.

  21. Thats a carb heater between carb base and intake. Prevents icing during warm up and fuel puddling during extended idling (keeps the fuel vaporized) Ford and some Mopars ran engine coolant threough a spacer plate to do the same thing

  23. My son and daughter in law went with me but went in first, dressed in their finest NY Yuppie garb.I strolled in a few minutes after them and sat in the back with my camera. During the public question part, they asked how hard would it be to get a permit to convert their 4 car garage into 3 apartment units. Any issues with energy requirements and and issues about who they can and can not rent to. The answers were that there are no rules on green energy and as long as the spaces are issued a C.O. any one that you choose can live there. Son asked again if they plan on any green laws or occupancy requrements in the future and again the answer was no. When the meeting ended i walked up to the Village Supervisor and the head of the zoning board and thanked them for the fantastic video and also thanked the Head of Zoning for leaving me the reasons for denying my permit (60% solar and open residency not just veterans rule) on my answering machine. Told them I'll see you either on the TV news and in Federal Court for Discrimination against Handicapped Veterans unless you met my terms when I decide on them. The members were following me talking to me but for some reason they all scattered when I got into my dump truck and started to leave. Most enjoyable day I've had since my wife passed away
