  3. Since most people do not realize the CSA was an independent union of states and that the flag on the General Lee is a Confederate Navy Battle Flag what do you expect? Not much about the reasons of the war are taught other than the slavery aspect. Course a lot of people also do not realize that Texas was an sepearate country at one time also...

  5. "Responding to the continuing rumors, Ben Jones, the actor who portrayed Cooter in the television series, weighed in with a fiery press release. “Some unnamed genius at the company feels that the flag is ‘offensive to some’ and therefore it has no business on a classic TV comedy about a bunch of good ol’ boys and girls in the Southern mountains,” Mr. Jones, a former two-term Democratic congressman from Georgia, wrote. “This is a new level of ‘P.C.’ idiocy. I don’t know about you, but I am tired of being insulted by morons.” In the latest statement earlier this week, Mr. Jones, who organizes theme events around the franchise and sells related merchandise online and through his store, Cooter’s Place, in Nashville, said that there were “reliable and verifiable reports from the Warner Brothers car licensees with whom we do business that as of Jan. 1, 2013, the Confederate banner on top of the General Lee would be removed because some people ‘found it offensive.’ "
  6. AMT Models won't comply because they also do Cooters wrecker, Daisy's Jeep, Roscoes Police car and some other car. RC 2 and Tomi are 1/18 diecasters turned tail and became "correct". Carrera who does the 1/32 and 1/24 high end slot cars, Retro Hobbies who is maker of the old Aurora AFX slot cars and 1/64 diecast said no to removing the flag. People are upset over something that they have only the medias slant on it ... If they find it offensive go past and don't look. When we went to the Smithsonian Aircraft storage facility at Silverhill, a man and woman with 2 young boys made a big to do over the markings on 3 WWII German aircraft. It's history get over it. Hey Vinny! Here is Daisy today.....
  7. No more General Lee...just an orange car with a number... P.C. appears to rule. http://www.web2carz.com/autos/news/1373/general-lee-models-to-lose-confederate-flag

  18. If it isn't the flasher unit, than the turn signal indicators staying on is more than likely feed back through a poor ground. The circut is using the lights for a return path, could a bad ground on the instrument panel or in the signal /4 way flasher or even the brake light circut.Do all the turn signal, parking lights and tail lights work and are any exceptionally brighter or dimmer than normal look there too. Paul
  19. They had a "U model remote", oddest thing...it had a tiny kick stand on it.
  20. View Post41chevy, on 13 September 2012 - 12:43 PM, said: One thing about what people want or like, it's what influences you every day. When I was a kid all that we saw on Long Island was Lizza, Zarra, Pratt, Bromen, Prefered and Colonial B models, R models and Autocars. Farm and municipal trucks were Macks, FWD, Internationals and GMC/Chevys. Oil and Coal companies had Macks, Fords or Whites, Local business and small contractors had Fords, Chevies or Dodges. But Mack and Autocar were what I saw the most of. I only saw other brand trucks on T.V. or movies. I pass another Mack now, its as rare as when I was a kid seeing a Pete, K.W. or other brand. Same I'm sure holds true now. I can't really say I always wanted a Mack, it just seemed natural to have one, it's what I grew up with. Paul Other than my Marmon and old I.H farm truck, I never drove any other makes, never owned a Jap bike or a foreign car period I own 7 Macks now, you don't have to sell me on whats the best. Paul
  21. Lord 'O' does NOT want to fix it. He want it to light off. If he can get the sh#t to hit the fan and get us in a war in the Middle East by pushing one of them (Iran?) to attack us or one of our allies, he probably feels it will guarantee his re election as a "war president". Just sit back think about how far he'll go to stay in power. He is a text book Sociopath. A sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. A sociopath is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused - it is done to get one's way). Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others. Sociopaths are often charming and charismatic, but they use their talented social skills in manipulative and self-centered ways. THAT IS OBAMA!!!!!!! Paul
  22. If you could do that it would be great! 1969 Mack R Original Truck # E-305. We did an overlay with images from Peter Lund on the Youngstown site. It appears to be the only one of the lot with the small hose reel on the pumper body, although all the basic units are the same I assume. Paul
