  1. I got my printout on my AC Crane Carrier from the Mack Museum, it show it as having an accessory Tool Pouch and Tool Set. Anyone ever hear of it or see one? It had 6 open end wrenches, 4 sockets and drive bar, 2 screw drivers, a monkey wrench, pliers and a ball peen hammer in a leatherette pouch. Paul
  2. They are drilled and never saw them shipped as blanks without holes.Although I imagine you could ask them to delete the holes. Paul
  3. Looks like an early 50's Ford F8 cab modified. I remember seeing a 50's red COE at an ATHS show where to co driver slept under the front hood, over the engine behind the dash area. Paul
  4. We may not agree, but I for one respect your opinion. Paul
  5. In the " WAY OF ROB " I'll give you my view on the actions taken. The comment was more ACLU. I assume that in Poland you do not have any Civil Liberty groups trying to "help". We have the American Civil Liberties Union who believes that if 30 million people like something and ONE finds it offensive... it must be changed so as not to offend that person. As for being an Atheist... The Supreme Court ruled it as being equal to a religion of not believing in God. A true Atheist is more an Agnostic, who believes in nothing. The ACLU is waging a war on Christians in the U.S.A. They have helped end (because it is offensive to them) The pubic display of crosses except at churches. Wearing a cross (not a Crescent of Star of David) where it is visible at public schools. Saying the Pledge of Allegiance (you can say it off school ground before class). Mention of Christmas, Christmas vacation is now Winter Holidays, Christmas Tree is now a holiday tree. You can have a Menorah, a Star of David or a Muslim Crescent but NO Cross or Nativity Scene. A cross at USMC Camp Pendleton only visible from Google or from the center of the base. A PRIVATE Catholic University cannot have crosses (except on the Church) in areas where non christians (who pay to go to the PRIVATE school) may see them and be offended. The USAF removed GOD from its motto because it may be offensive to non christians. The ACLU is now suing to have the crosses at all military cemetaries removed because the are offensive to non christians (BUT NOT THE STAR OF DAVID or CRESCENT). You need a special permit to have a christian prayer meeting in your home, but none is needed for Torah or Koran study groups. That is why the ACLU person deserved what he got IMO.

  9. So what do we do if he is re elected??? Saw a clip of his speech in Colorado, where he says "Americans should be able to choose their own health care, with out any government involvement or penalties". He was blaming Obamacare on Bush and Romney... and the crowd cheered him! A holes! Paul
  10. Holmes is a wrecker manufacturer like Century or Challenger. The winches are made by different companies like Tulsa or Garwood to name a few. Tulsa Winches are used on a ton of oil patch trucks and most are ultra heavy duty. Eiher worm drive or planetary drives. Paul
  11. If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!! A young Marine was taking some college courses between assignments. He had completed 3 tours of duty in Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "GOD, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform... I'll give you exactly 15 min." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting." It got down to the last couple of minutes when the soldier got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him clean off the platform. The professor was out cold. The young Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the soldier and asked, "What in the world is the matter with you? Why did you do that?" The young Marine stood up and calmly replied, "GOD was too busy today protecting soldiers, who are protecting your right to say stupid shit and act like an idiot. So He sent me." The classroom erupted in cheers!
  12. The land is / or was owned by the N.Y. N.J. Port Authority. The roads are all "closed off" and were originally airport access and through streets for the area. I do know when we went there for the pre bid view a few years ago there was sill Av-gas tanks in the ground, empty I would guess. The period when we looked at the job there was plans to make it into a park, but the enviro costs were out of this world. It is filled with asbestos, lead, keytones, mercury and tons of other chemicals and compounds in the ground and buildings. That is most likely why it is still undeveloped. Paul
  13. Everything developed around it is raised higher and paved. The Airport is now the lowest piece of land in the area... a giant sump kind of. Google map Flushing Airport and see it now.. Paul
  14. Still, its a V8 and a Superliner. Keep us in the loop on it. Good luck with it. Paul
  15. Been married 36 years..now that I've started to run out of answers, I'm luckly going deaf. Just use gibberish to answer or ignore the questions all together. Never could answer any thing but the truth.
  16. Damn shame! Hope all works out for you. Paul
  17. And they probably used the MACK bus to right it! Paul
  18. Those engines were sitting since at least 1965 65... now there abouts are unknown. Some of Flushing Airport was cleared because of addicts, homeless and general trash. All the buildings are in 3 to 4 feet of standing water now. three fourths of the run way is mostly under water now and the balance is wooded. Kind of far from the beach too, its landlocked between 678 the Van Wick Expressway, Linden Blvd and 20th Ave. Most all the water there is from whats under College Point. Paul
  19. Sure was a nice unit in its day. Paul
  20. The removal of 11 trucks shells and 40 dumped cars. The other bid was a warehouse at Fort Dix full of M35 and M35A1 parts. The Airport was an EPA nightmare I felt better to walk away from. The Fort Dix stuff went to Ron Gasser owner of The American Armour Museum in Virginia. Paul
  21. Here's a few more pics.
  22. Went to look at a job near the abandoned, sunken Flushing Airport in Queens awhile back and just found the card with the photos. Missed getting the job too...over 1000 YUP One thousand, remanufactured and due to be remanufactured Multi Fuel Engines from 1965 or so. A Brockway Av Gas Tanker thats now 1/2 under water, remains of the Airport Mack fire truck and a few other Airport trucks that are under water at high tide.
  23. A little east of 112 on Montauk Hwy was were Mercury was. The entire building was just ripped down. Paul
  24. What a difference from now! No lawyers at the bus, handing out neck braces. Nobody taking off with the load of flour in the AC. Probably just on the edge of the Great Depression too. Paul
