  1. Take the Navistar/IH truck, the Firebird probably weighs in at about 3500 lbs, the same as a small boat so no problems. Strap it down good and go. Paul
  2. I'm going to start to redo the front and rear spring sets for my AC. Got my new center bolts, spring clips and bushings. Now would it be best to have the leaves media blasted (walnut shell or the like) or just use a DA? Not really any rust just tons of paint and grease. I have Teflon sliders from Glide Suspension Company to go between each leaf. Paul
  3. Sure glad it didn't end up on the range! I would hope to see it after it is restored. Paul
  4. A V.P. choice is Condolesa(?) Rice...Good or bad choice...what do you think?
  5. I've got the used book store looking for a copy. Thanks! When I grew up the only trucks I ever knew were Mack, Autocars, Internationals and GMC's. They were all that was around in the sand pits and farms. Dodge and International were pick ups of choice and Chevy Carryalls were family vehicles, a rare Ford or Chevy light truck. I'll take some more photos of it as soon as may "new" camera comes back from warranty repair. I took some on my phone but have no idea how to get them off to the computer. Paul
  6. looks like a Stecco demo trailer or a Dumpster, only the "EYE OF U" could tell. Paul.
  7. As long as I live, I'll never understand walking away from good, working usefull equipment. Paul

  9. We have a 1960 EMD unit at the LIRR Museum in Riverhead. It was an old freight unit on the LIRR line. It's stripped down to frame and power unit for restoration. Want some pics of the power plant? Paul
  10. K Mart doesn't put Wal Mart products on display . GM and Mack were rival truck makers at the time. Every thing on display was only available with D.D. power. GM also owned Euclid in the mid to late 50's thats why it is in there. Paul
  11. Easy... originally all bras were made in France by the Conehead Inter Galatic Brassiere Company and were modeled after the weightless on her back boob look. The were also easier to load up with water balloons as the cone tip gave you a place to put the balloon knot. That is the story I'm sticking to! Paul

  14. They have always told the rank and file who to vote for. Most, including myself vote for our choices. I wonder how much the Asians paid off the "bosses" to keep quiet? Pretty upset with Boeing opening in a Right to Work State and "taking union jobs away". Were is the big blow up rat? Eaten by the China Man?? Never expected any pension monies from them. Saved my own like most did. I needed the book to work period. Coal miners! When Patriot Coal filed Chapter 11 last week, they said it was falling demand and enviromental regulations. The President said "we need to help the coal industry survive" He killed it and the Miners Union still supports him! Paul
  15. Jerrys a good guy, talked with him about 2 hours today to make Colonial and Lizza decals. Paul
  16. GM 1956 Motorama with every unit that used Detroit Diesels. Paul
  17. I was thinking about this last night, Where are our union members? The Teamsters, USW, BEWU and UBC ? I would think all us members would be making one hell of a racket about this. The unions all support this? Why so quiet? Paul

  21. She has her arms out stretched saying "some day soon this will be mine...all ... mine!!!
  22. We had a co gen plant built in Medford last year and I kept telling my wife there was all Chinese working there. Now I know why! I'm sure all that voted him in before will vote for him again. They are all blinded by his bald faced lies and see nothing real.
  23. Sourkraut kind of dropped out of sight after his new shop opened up. Most of his decals are now sold by Jerry Reeter of www.modeltruckin.com I've sent him a lot of references and scaled measurement for the Bandag truck. Tell him Paul /41 chevy sent you. He does a lot of Mack goodies including engine and chassis decals and the Magnum set for the Superliner and the MH. Paul
  24. For a few dollars more you can buy the bridge and get a tour... I'll even get a llama to eat crackers with you and you get this fine hat at no cost!!! "David I'll contact you during the week. Paul
  25. If that was in N.Y. with no tags on it and "just sitting" I look for a dead body in it. Where you are it's probably just waiting for a tow. Always liked the Winslow Stripes on them. Paul
