  1. I would look at the drive on the trans, check check gear for grit or damage and look at the hex in it. That is the easiest place to start. I have seem them wear enough so still work but slip. If that checks out than go to the speedo head itself.
  2. 11 or 12mm most likely. Try a Volvo truck dealer maybe. Midliner was a badge engineered Renault just so you know.
  3. Well look at it this way you'd have job security and tons of overtime.
  4. It was Hobby town chain store, my shop of choice was always Charlie at APC Hobbies in Earlysville but haven't been there for a very long time.
  5. Had a customer from Korea whose real name was Ju suk called himself Jason.
  6. The wiper motor should have a ground wire in the harness but some also ground through the wiper mounting bolts check that first. Also use your multimeter to bridge between the low speed terminals on the switch and the wiper motor; with the switch moved to “Low” you should get at least a 10-volt reading. Repeat the exercise with the intermediate speed. If both circuits are not reading close the problem is in the harness most likely.
  7. E-7 300 HP with 1160 torque has the cam gear key way offset left, to go any higher you got to pull the cam and install straight cam key way. The turbo and injectors would be the same to the 400 HP level.
  8. Center 8 because of intake design same as the V8
  9. Photo is from 2002.
  10. Went to the state offices in Richmond today to get screwed over my blood pressure raised to critical and walking back to my truck passed a Model Train Hobby Shop. This was in the window. Very true to life if you ask me! Paul Hosted on Fotki

  13. Here is whats stirring the pot. Religious differences, political differences IE Socialism verses all else, territorial disputes, general stupidity and the idea of entitlement. India and Pakistan over Kashmir, Cuba, Russia and China involving themselves in Venezuela, pick a spot in the Middle East and lastly the generation who believes unquestionably all they read on the internet, and zero consequences for ones actions.
  14. From a book called AT DAWN WE SLEPT by Gordon W Prange Covers both sides with intelligence gathering, FDR's opinions, Japan and U.S. allies influences and the tactical planners from both sides.
  15. If you need to hold the switch "just right" to make the wipers work, that points to a worn switch. The contacts to loss their tension with age. 24 years is a good life span IMO. Paul
  16. https://harrisburg.craigslist.org/cto/d/brockway-128l-classic-truck-flatbed/6807726272.html 25th anniversary unit and actually looks pretty good.
  17. Not inaccurate but only part of the story in the Washington Post. The ranking grade for the over all school is which is the lead item in the bill is based on the percentage of students getting passing grades for promotion or graduation. More students that pass, the more Federal and State aid goes to the school districts. Nothing to do about education only the dollar.
  18. Mirrors are worth a bit of money, they appear to be GM Astro/Titan early style "bus" mirrors
  19. The bar for failing test scores in North Carolina’s state public schools may be significantly lowered under proposed new legislation. House Bill 145, introduced by the North Carolina General Assembly last Thursday, proposes to base grades on a 15- rather than a 10-point scale. In other words, an F grade would constitute anything below a 40 percent score — much lower than the 60 percent mark that is the norm in North Carolina and most other states. Under the new scale system, an A would be 100 to 85 percent, a B would be 84 to 70 percent, a C would be 69 to 55 percent, a D would be 54 percent to 40 percent and an F would be 39 and lower according to the bill. The scale system would not affect students who are already performing well. But students who are under performing in school will be allowed to continue. If passed, the law will go into effect beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, according to the bill. It's also spilling over into many universities as well, many professors are being pressured to start passing more students every year to the point that many of them literally give out take home tests, give out free points, or just flat out inflate grades. At one university, half the professors will only fail you if you just didn't do any assignments or tests. They tell the students all answers for those classes were online since we reuse the same tests and quizzes year after year. I gather kids are too stupid to pass? So is it easier to just lower the standards so we can pretend they're competent now? Like this won't have consequences in ten to fifteen years. It's as if there aren't enough illiterate exceptional individuals with no critical thinking skills in this country now.
  20. So you have a Dodge Motor Home with a bad chassis and a White Freightliner with a bad cab, makes perfect sense after BBQ and a few brews. Actually looks like a decent job so far.
  21. Got a set from 1970 custom made for his race engines. 4 - 7/8 tall. A small automotive machine shop in Canandaigua, NY. $35.00 and $10 to ship. Hosted on Fotki

  23. So Senator Panders With Wolves Warren has decided to so something even Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit Clinton never dared – she's come out in favor of massive reparations. “Reparations” is, of course, the notion that a bunch of people who are not guilty of slavery owe money to people who were not slaves for some reason that never quite gets explained but that you’re racist for wondering about.
  24. That would turn into an all day stop as they try to find something to write up. Wish I had that at the concrete plant in Riverhead at the end of the LIE a few years ago! Suffolk Dot and Riverhead Town DOT was stopping every unit near it.
