  1. Thats all. I'll PM some photos on it The Glycerine has minimal hydraulic compression and literally exploded the hollow point on impact. Aguila and Glaser Pow'R ball both make a similar rounds and both are sub sonic too.
  2. White house defied the Supreme Courts ruling today and said it is a fine not a tax.......Do they truly understand the court ruled in their favor? Paul
  3. Don't you put anything in the hollow point hole? Your wifes Glycerin and a seal cap of parafin wax make a great hydraulic home defense round. Small entry point, generally no exit point and usually nothing in the middle except mush. Paul
  4. Aberdeen Proving Grounds and also Ron Gasser at the American Military Foundation in Virginia both have Mack EFU's as Utility trucks in Stateside markings. They were both used during WWII for defense plant work and were pressed into service directly following Pearl Harbor from civvy service.. Barts book is a great reference but there are a few units that slipped past, same as in Wheels and Tracks when it was published. But the suggestion to touch base with the military collectors was that the EFU, EHU and EMU cabs are for the most part common to each other parts wise. Paul
  5. First look to all the grounds for loose, dirty or broken. Paul
  6. The number on the plate comes up as an obsolete part. They no longer have paper catalogs, so if it isn't in their data base they nolonger will be bothered. Lost me as a customer! I hope JOE BERTINO can help you out. Paul
  7. There were a ton of them sold in the 60's surplus DOD units from Military 5 tonners....gas powered too. Only thing I don't see are the out riggers. Looks like a real good deal for 2500 or less. Paul
  8. Good ! You're are over the hump now. Everything you do on the U now it is on the add on side of assembly! Good feeling to do that. Paul
  9. Something wrong?? Yes! You are not close enough for me to drool over it!! Looks perfect!!!!! Paul
  10. The wrecker unit looks like a Holmes 850 with a modified rear body. You're looking at an easy 4000 pounds minimum on the body, Weldbilts version about the same. If it is a N.Y. built Ortiz it'll start a 5500 and go up. Still it looks like a Holmes unit. Paul
  11. This is what our "allies" think of him, what do our enemies think! Oh wait..... his only enemies are the U.S. citizens. (Blue collar, working class, family oriented,Patriotic and god fearing folk)
  12. I'd leave it. They were also installed on the military Utility Service trucks, AirCraft fueling units and CARDOX equipted Firetrucks. I'll wager when you get the Mack report on your truck you will find it was a military spec unit for Stateside service, Civil Defense or a C.C.C. /W.P.A unit. I'll copy some DOD photos for you. Paul
  13. WOW! Your lucky! All I found this morning was one of our turtles in the kitchen sink and Basset Hound pee on the newspaper...
  14. MACK told me the ETC is Electric Turnover Control...U has a light lift motor and my DM has a heavy gear reduction motor to aid in putting the trucks back on all it's wheels. The later ones are self righting
  15. Congats on 25 years! Definatly a keeper. I'm going to leave photo of you cart ll over the house for a hint.. Paul
  16. If you don't think we are the laughing stock of the world Look at this parade in Germany .. You know who you can thank for this, don't you!! These floats were part of the annual Carnival Parade in Germany watched by an estimated 3 Million people in 3 German cities including Dusseldorf . "There are two ways to conquer And enslave a nation. One is by the sword. The other Is by debt." John Adams 1826 "You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong." Abraham Linclin "When injustice becomes law, then resistance becomes duty." Thomas Jefferson
  17. Hey!! I looked all overmy DM800 and can't find the ETC. :whistling:
  18. You could view above the truck cab to position the ladder, auger or other equipment under area you had to work and to also make sure it was all retracted when you moved. From the time when one person could do the entire job. P aul
  19. I see its got a "utility periscope" on the roof like the old Bell Telephone service trucks had. The missing door, I would look to the military vehicle collectors. The EHU and EH were quite numerous with the Navy and Army in WWII state side. Mostly EHU 's with the EN354 or the EN310 gas engines. Paul
  20. Interesting and kind of rare too. I've seen a few units advertised with Eaton Fuller Roadmaster transmissions. One was a 1980 Astro from Idaho National Lab and another was a late 70's Crane. Both were 8 speeds with manual Hi Lo shifts instead of air shift. I do remember driving a B61T ractor unit that Syosset Sand had with an 8 speed that if you missed a down shift you had to stop and start over.
  21. All I remember about the womb is the rush of water leaving and a light..........some guy in a mask slapped my butt and I peed on him.
  22. Not a peep.
