  1. Well , I'll never ever open any attachment when I'm eating lunch after seeing that! Paul
  2. Could have been a shuttle or a yarder. The interior fits as being low use. Paul
  3. I'm 100% in agreement with Rowdy's statement. Their "demands" are to say the least interesting, although it does sound like a cross between hippy crap from the 60's and Karl Marx. I've read their demands 4 or 5 times and am truly stunned. This is what is taught in schools and colleges? To the ones with out work, most won't "lower themselves" to what they consider meanial work, I was raised and raised our sons that a job is a job! Do your best at what ever you have to do and do it with pride, you're still making money whether your sweeping a floor or running a company. I grew up knowing that if you did something wrong stand up and admit it, you take what is meted out as part of being a responsible person. I do see from their demands that we had better start teaching the tradional values and work ethics or we are done as a nation. Paul
  4. Had to go near the Trade Center today around Wall Street. Saw all the protesters. Asked about it and all I got was gibberish. So my question is What is it all about, Communism or just a bunch of feather merchants or what??? paul
  5. Those style N.Y. plates went out of use here in '70 or '71 so if true than it's been sitting for 40 or so years. Looks mainly solid too. Paul
  6. Makes me sick to see that! Even sicker to know it's got goodies on it. Paul
  7. Good one!!! Paul
  8. If it doesn't turn over by the wrench and no metal in the oil filters.Did it smoke at all? White or black smoke? Check for low coolant in rad or coolant in the oil. If it is low, I personally would look towards coolant in one of the cylinders causing Hydro lock. Paul
  9. I'm not sure, it's on the same type of base only thing different is it doesn't have the plaque. I'll look under it for the makers mark with a mirror. I got them all when Mineola Mack was bought by Gabrielle in the 80's and all their dead stock was sold off. Paul
  10. Nice, probbly worth the money and the Hall Scotts are a bit of a rarity and I've seen them mostly in fire trucks. I do have a different respect for some one who did all or some of their own work. I did all of my 41 Chevy my self ,except for the chrome and the machine work on the engine. Not every one can do that or has the place to do it,so I've come to feel that how ever you did it ,by labor or by check you have saved it from being scrapped or just rotting away. I do feel though that if you wrote a check at least have the basic knowledge of the vehicle. Saw a "gentleman" at a show a while back with a perfectly restored Packard. A 99.9 point car, except the clock wasn't working. He had panic finding his "man" who came over and wound the clock! If you own it at leasat know what makes it tick. Paul
  11. Blow a seal ???????????????? That isn't good either way.
  12. Got home this morning from the Hersey swap meet, opened my shop and found this boy checking my inventory for Spot?
  13. Glad to hear shes on the mend! Now you and momma take care of your selves too! Nothing like spoiling the grand kids. Paul
  14. Looking at the show placard in the windshield appears the first name is Rick . Sweet looking unit. Paul
  15. They're made by Bristol Pewter. I'm missing the M-75SX, but do have the the others in the set including the 1910 5 ton, Mack Junior, DM 600 Mixer and the Cruiseliner. Very nice and tough to get. Rarely come up for sale.... ever!! Paul
  16. Well,,,,I did see it some where...................
  17. "Lets crash it in to the potties, before the president knows it's missing. WHEEEEEEEEEEEE "
  18. Doh!!!!!
  19. Yours?? Paul
  20. Leaving for Hersey in an an hour or so.I figured I'd leave this for yall to ponder. A young Arab asks his father, "What is that weird hat you are wearing?" The father said, "Why, it's a 'chechia' because in the desert it protects our heads from the sun." "And what is this type of clothing that you are wearing?" asked the young man. "It's a 'djbellah' because in the desert it is very hot and it protects your body." said the father. The son asked, "And what about those ugly shoes on your feet? His father replied, "These are 'babouches", which keep us from burning our feet when in the desert." "Tell me," added the boy. "Yes, my son?" "Why are you living in Dearborn, Michigan and still wearing all this shit?"
  21. I've seen that truck some where before. I think it was in Bob Gilbreaths Old Truck Home site. Valve is relevent, can't restore one for that and it appears fairly nice and complete. Paul
  22. So very sorry.. Paul
  23. Jamacia Ash still has a few and where we are Holab Recyling and Artic Fuel each have around 30 betwen them. They are the MR or MF's though. I think Holabs are LNG fueled also. Always liked them better than the Mid Liners too. Paul
  24. That '25 was a neat unit. I thought it was a worth while buy. The little guy wasn't even interested. One of the early shows they fount the original Levi Jeans Wild West Puppet Show tractor and trailer from 1940, couldn't care less. Paul
  25. I have a books from the ATHS on trucking pioneers and I think they are in the 8th or 9th book. with a few photos. I'll see if it is accessable next week before we leave for Hersey. If it was on Long Island almost every sand and gravel rig has Shamrocks on them. Can't the Mack museum give the purchase / build order history on your truck from the VIN number? Paul
