Same place my AC and B-61 came from. The B81 was originally owned by Horan in Syosset. I drove both his B-81 in the early 80's when the did plowing and sanding for Brookville. Paul

Lots of wind and ocean ,but not much rain. My shop was under about a foot of water lucky I raised almost everything up. We never lost power, only cable........it just came back on. Paul
  3. Thats got to be the place I heard about. P.L. Duncan! I heard about a "guy near Fork Union" who has a I.H. ConCo. Saw it in your photos. I'll have to look Mr. Duncan up when I'm down there in a few weeks.
  4. prepared as much as we can and just ride it out. We're a 1/2 mile from the Atlantic. Paul
  5. Probbly...their older the me..... They are up by the junction of 6 and 15 near the Fork Union Animal Hospital. We found a few south of the town, near (Scotts autobody)about 3/4 mile into the woods. A yard full of older 50's cars and a B models and other trucks. I always heard of a big stash of old trucks near Palmyra but never could find them.

We'er about 1/2 of a mile from the Atlantic on the edge of the Evac Zone. Moved the Truck and cars inland to a friends yard, boarded up the house and shop. Shut off the main breaker for all the power to the shop and hope for the best. The house is prepped as much as possible and the Gen and pumps are ready. So we'll hope for the best. The track shows Thaddeus getting the eye and we're 60 miles East getting the high winds. Paul
  7. ......From a senior citizen around 80 yrs. of age. We aren't useless yet. The Fix There recently was an article in the St. Petersburg , Fl. Times. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on: "How Would You Fix the Economy?" I think this guy nailed it! Dear Mr. President, Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can call it the "Patriotic Retirement Plan": There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations: 1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed. 2) They MUST buy a new AMERICAN Car. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed. 3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed. It can't get any easier than that!! P.S.. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes.. Mr. President, while you're at it, make Congress retire on Social Security and Medicare. I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!
  8. I have family of rte 15 in Fork Union Va, their water tank emptied from the shakes thats all. Paul
  9. It was in Long Island City /Astoria Queens, it is now part of the NYC FD garages. tThere was also a plant in Manhatten in the 20s early 30's/\. Paul
  10. I ended up locating a used Weldbild Industrial Carrier body, 22 feet long, 30,000 winch with no rails just pockets, so I can add sides for other uses. It was still on the F750 so I got to see it work and look for leaks and abuse. Aside from a few chaffed lines it is good shape. The Kubota dealer is trading it in to Weldbilt for a 30 foot body on a new Hino. Decent price including the install on my truck. Paul
  11. This was in a post I saw awhile back, may help. It also gives a link for wiring schmatics Paul
  12. Like mama says to me........"go visit with all your invisable friends for awhile". Do you think she means I'm nutty? Paul
  13. Called my people in Fork Union and just shaken up, no problems other than spilled water from their tank. I hope everone else near there is fine. Paul
  14. Was he speaking about Briton or here? Almost seems the same pot cooking here now. Paul
  15. It's got road gears, about 25, if you dare on 60 year old rubber. it originally did 100% farm work, I picked up a hammer cutter and rebuilt it and made up the snow plow frame for a CJ2A plow and converted it to 12 volt. I still have all the attachments my pop bought for it too, including a sickle bar and a saw blade set up
  16. Try a speed shop if theres one near by, most Hi po 's are running 3 1/2 to 4'' pipes. Paul

  21. I'm in for a donation. There are a lot of good people I met here and consider a few to be friends. Never thought how important coming here is, until I got the 'Account Suspended' screen......cold sweats, shakes, panic attack....
  22. And that senior was the recently retired NYC Mechanic who drove the Mack sander out of the 3rd floor garage.
  23. No Ebay, it'll be at the damaged vehicle aution at the Freshkills Yard. Poop colored seat included...
  24. Congrats to all!! I agree you should get another Mack for your granchild to grow into... Paul
  25. As of now on the news there is a Grove crane holding it as secure (?) as possible. Typical NYC, they won't move it until the building dept looks at it and determine if the builing is damaged.(duh) Reasons to run it? we don't need no stinking reasons. I actually think the third floor is the paint shop. If you look carefully at the debris on the groud, you can just make out the Fruit of the Loam Guys buried in it. My question is, what is holding up the roll away on the lower left of the truck? Paul
