  1. The unit is tagged M819 but it appears to be incorrect by the rear body, To me all that matters is it does what I need. The manual stabilizers are not complete they are cut and tack welded on the pockets. I'll add a set of back hoe style to the rear where I need them. I don't have the ground spade for it was kept by the depot. Rear and front winches had no wire rope and are already removed along the front bumper assembly and in the container.
  2. That one is an IDF composite Cummins V8, Allison automatic with a French copy of the WWII German Panther high Velocity 75mm.
  3. I put an Auslow Models Resin E9 Australian spec 500 h.p. in an AMT Cruiseliner with no issues at all.
  4. Photo taken in Maine Lobsta and MoxieHauler
  5. Actually remove the dog house, disconnect the steering shaft a few lines and front mount bolts and jack the front of the cab up 8 to 10 inches give quite a bit of room .
  6. Biggest part is getting lazy on oil and filters and lugging them. Learn the power band keep them in the sweet spot even if your head says you need not down shift because your only a 100 rpm or so out of the power band. My head bolts need the up dated larger head and the torque washers under them.
  7. The early 865 and 866 V8's are fine as long as you know the limits on use. No lugging and maintenance and watch the head temps. Issue is parts availability. My B mixer has the low h.p. 865 and has head bolt issues but nothing not repairable.
  8. A 12 oz can is 25 cents with 5 cent deposit no tax. $2.98 plus 60 cent deposit for a 12 pack 12 oz bottle is 49 cents with 5 cent deposit.
  9. Looks like pre 1962 Chevy W engine motor mount pads.
  10. Received my rule bending pair of Holly's today. Nostalgia class says that you can only run a pair of any CFM Two Barrel carbs. So this one of the pair I bought on Racing Junk.com, one new one used for $500. 1100 CFM Holly Two Barrel dual feed carbs. Have to do a bit of machine work on the air horns, venturies and the throttle shafts to kick up the flow. Need to do some sizing on the jet plates and open the power valve port .003 to .004 Heads are due tomorrow or saturday and my grandson is polishing my 6/71 case and carb adapter. Still searching for a nice clean set of M/T cast Aluminum Valve covers and a 3" x 8.250 dia. lower blower pulley with a thin V belt adapter for my water pump drive. Rules require mechanical water pump not electric. Being a widower I can stay in the shop all hours now. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  11. 865 or the 866 V8 the cab and hood are raise up about 3 or so inches. The dog house is low enough that the heater clears it. Turbo fits under the doghouse. This is Yoos brothers U700 engine photo. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  12. Lowell , Maine around 1st week of June. Last year they raffled off a very nice 1959 B61 10 wheel dump.
  13. My B Mixer has that set up. It's a Garrison Hydraulic Assist. All the parts are available from Garrison in California and from Steering Re-builders and Truck Parts in Texas. For both Ross and Shepard boxes.
  14. Nice unit. I was a Century and Ortez wrecker dealer in the mid 1970's, had all the NY Metro area. Did very well before everyone made hydraulic wreckers. I was putting electic/ hydraulic units in 3/4 pick ups for NYC chase trucks. Those NYC guys were nuts. Paul
  15. Welcome! Repost your question in the Engine Transmission section and you will get an answer.
  16. At least it's not up side down and on fire. . .
  17. They are the 1930's style split rims with the wheel split for valve stem / tube and a lock ring or the other Firestone style with a split rim you need to "latch" in the tire Not the modern split rims.
  18. Manson, Bundy, Boston Bomber(s), Cruz and the rest are the media /political darlings... plus thanks to the ACLU and libs you can't do anything to violate their civil rights. Cruz was according to the "smart people" innocent, he was failed by a) the school, b) the counselors, c) the students who snubbed him, d) the NRA or e) all of the previous. No personal responsibility, no blame on the murderers and in the end no real punishment. Watch justice at work when the "poor" un documented emigrant in Cali who killed the young cop walks with a slap on the wrist. Already the media (CNN MSNBC HLN CBS and NBC) are blaming ICE for allowing him on the street, NOT Calis law against info sharing with the Feds on illegals.

  21. Ain't that the truth! Just have to remember one's needs and not over run them

What do you mean by skip? A miss or a lag or?
  23. I've got quite a few new engines and probably a dozen built and ready to go some back as far as 1973. But in my defense they are all port sealed and filled with Rust Veto. but they sit so I'm probably worse The one from the 90's would have lasted except for five 6500 7000 rpm launches at full boost.
