  1. With their recent choices, we'll see. They haven't had a good track record of making profitable choices recently
  2. Gee, I showed my age, thought it was THE X-15 :)
  3. We had an incident at the VA in Richmond with a young Vet who came in to speak to a counselor because he felt suicide was the only option he had. They handed him an appointment card to come back in 3 weeks. He shot himself in the parking lo right out side the VA... A. 26 year old disabled Marine.
  4. That's the little known D.A.I.S.N.A.I.D rule. Rarely used outside of N.Y., Conn, Mass and Cali.

  6. 12043 Lord Fairfax Hwy Boyce, Va. Seller stated it is a Mack 6EJ1S and is a MACK Factory Engineering Experimental Model and assigned as an "Allentown Factory Shop Truck" But has nothing but word of mouth and nothing else. It is reduced down from the original $12,000 asking price.
  7. Never did the stocking thing but had stand off covers on a few and even had made a little deflector to push snow and rain up and off to the sides. I really think the truck designers are the same people who design the blob cars of today. Designers used to be practical and have a knowledge of what is practical and needed. Now the worry about the cup holders, power ports and Ergonomics of the touch screen.
  8. It's a nice looking truck but it's been listed a few times and never sells.
  9. My Marmon was cited because in the early 90's I has Cibie high and low beam lights in it. One issue I did find was that people up grade the lights and don't follow the instructions and re aim the new lights. The LEDs I've put in all my units specifically tell you the light pattern is different and MUST be re aimed to prevent blinding on coming drivers. Did have an incident years ago near Camp Hero where the oncoming car had it's bright lights and driving lights on. I flashed mine and the guy ignored it so I flashed them again. His response was to turn on his fog lights.I was so p.o'd hit lit up my 6 KC Hilighters, for some reason he stopped for a good 5 minutes.
  10. Funny this came up. I was coming up on a Hartt tanker unit this morning on the Maine Pike and rear signals and brakes lights had a small strobe flash in them to get your attention. Think alot of the lighting issues is to make the unit aero enough to meet the CARB and Fed requirements.
  11. Gee I never saw the heads rust through to the water jackets.
  12. I find the lights are so bright that the directionals (when used) are lost to the headlights
  13. Got it, thanks for the info, already on Craigs list for 5 grand.
  14. Just remember there is a push for single payer Federally run health care, two things I know. If it is run like the VA is with waiting lists and treatment based on value we're fk'd . Second is how much money will be needed for it by new taxes ,fees and other revenue generators? My view don't touch my weapons, my vehicles and my life "style" for want of a better word
  15. Kind of miss being called names and being told how to vote by a grrrrl on here.
  16. With the garage done, bet his U model is inside where he can futz with it.You know how those U model people are. . .
  17. Nobody noticed the retro Charger in the front of the photo?
  18. There is a fuse.
  19. I looked into a Lingenfelter Super Charged LS9 750 h.p. for my 55 , only $36,099 GM Performance Super Charged LS9 638 h.p. is only $26,998, GM Performance Super Charged LT 5 755 h.p. is only $39,200. I wouldn't mind the Hellephant in my 55, 1000 h.p. in a 2405 lb car would be nice. Just would need my mrs guardian angel with me.
  20. Vlad will agree this is pretty close to the bible on Mack military trucks. Paul
  21. Most likely up dated to 12 volt than.
  22. Easily! So a chip set and re flach the controller probaly pick up another two to three hundred horses. Like the modern Charger body it's in. That I like too.
  23. Was on here about an hour ago, probable a smart phone that won't let him play with us. :)
  24. Just curious, does your AC still have the reduction starter or the direct drive starter? That does make a difference some what.
