  1. Look at the connector on the back of the ignition switch, I've seen them over heat and short out.
  2. Relays do go bad. The coils short and or the contact points burn and pull a high resistance, over load and pop the fuse.
  3. A ton of Superliners! I had to bid on the AutoCar
  4. Also see if it is positive or negative ground
  5. I've bought 6 from them, the D or F kit with ignition activated controller and solenoid. I feel these kits are the best on the market. http://www.engineprelube.com/ How it works. http://www.engineprelube.com/images/Insta-Lube-installation_picture-roll.pdf
  6. I have on all my diesels an accumulator set up to pre oil the engine before starting. Holds 2 quarts under about 5 to 8 psi of pressure and when you turn on the ignition it pre lubes it. On start up it refills the accumulator tank. Saves a ton of cold start wear on the internals.
  7. and Fred. my three Bassets watch Smokey and the Bandit II just to howl at Fred. Did like Burt Reynolds in Gator, made me want a big block, 4 speed Ford 4 door sedan.
  8. I bought it on E Bay 2 years ago for the Amber Beacon on my B Mixer. Ebay seller is ROBERT_A_M He seems to have Deitz and Federal Signal lights and parts every so often. Hersey's coming up probably get one there or an inexpensive unit for parts. Fire and commercial truck goodies are mostly in the Chocolate Field and the Chocolate Field Annex. Paul
  9. As long as it bonds on fresh paint it will last, and the main thing is it will prevent and "stone stars"and other marks from kicked up road debris in the paint.
  10. The original system for the gas engine running a twelve volt system ran a pair of 6VOLT Batteries in Series to get twelve volts. With modern battery technology you could run a single 12 volt battery or a pair of 6 volts in series to look factory.
  11. I went to a HVAC commercial contractor and they had a couple feet of 3/4 OD soft anneal copper tube in the scrap bin. They use 3/4 SACT in most all commercial AC, Heat Pump installs. Got it for my mixer in swap for a coffee.
  12. Is this the unit you're looking for? They go NOS for 145.00 to 175.00 Firematic says the common issue is the bearings gum up and the lube in the drive unit gums up / solidifies and to pull the 4 screws off the bottom plate , clean it out re-lube and see if it functions.

  15. On L.I.N.Y. a lot were used for gas station delivery, both A&P and Bohacks ran them and even a few heating oil companies used them for residential delivery. Seem to vaguely remember Boar's Head Meats using them also. A company ran a 4x4 version with a big diesel in it, the rad was actually mounted on the right rear of the cab. Yellow and Green colors and ran in the mountains in to Cali I think.
  16. Thats been for sale on and off for a few years. This was a the Huntsville Alabama show a few years ago.
  17. I asked a PETA lady what is the difference of my killing my chickens, Squabs, lambs, pigs or rabbits for my freezer or a hawk or better yet Fluffy the Poodle killing one. She turned on her leather shoes and walked away swearing under her breath. My chickens lay eggs, when they get old they become fryers. The others are raised as food.
  18. To bad Volvo-Mack does't offer the Cummins ISX15 , 400-600 horsepower with up to 2050 pound-feet torque. Any idea way Volvo-MACK won't offer it?
  19. Former Red Lobster now a seafood funeral home.
  20. Scania's current V8 meets U.S. EPA tier 4 Final and EU stage VI standards and makes from 520 to 720 plus h.p. the practical technology is here now. But apparently U.S. makers refuse it.
  21. They built one. . .a Red building with a big red lobster on it. Think it's a crematorium...always smells like cooking sea food
  22. No fine if you tell the cop your both into transpecies dating
  23. Force only understand force, Chamberland and Obama's "Peace in our time" Unicorn army worked well for us. Being on the receiving and giving end in 2 wars, somebody in the press, a civilian or a 4 star, is IMO out of touch with the situation on the ground. But thats only my thought. Personally I will never turn the other check or cut and run from a bully or even a keyboard commando.
  24. Were made in Australia. I'd like one!!
  25. PETA Demands Memorial... for WHAT? 09/3/2018 Herald Staff reporter The People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has demanded the State of Maine erect a memorial for the 4,500 lobsters killed in a truck accident. PETA hopes those driving by never forget the "countless sensitive, loving crustaceans" who spilled onto the highway earlier last month. The grave would “remind everyone that the best way to prevent such tragedies is to go vegan,” the animal rights group said. Maine’s Department of Transportation is reviewing the group’s request, spokesman Ted Talbot told the Herald. He said temporary signs can be no larger than 4 feet by 8 feet and could be in public for up to 12 weeks. PETA hopes to erect a 5-foot memorial for the lobsters. It would be located on Route 1 in Brunswick. It's unclear how much the gravestone would cost. A mockup of the gravestone shows a lobster with the words, “In Memory of the Lobsters Who Suffered and Died at This Spot.” Further below is the services and a snappy attired waiters pallbearers.
