  1. I'd still stop, you never know what treasures were left behind.
  2. Wouldn't trade a second of it both good and bad.
  3. Thank you all for being here. Gail passed away at our farm a few weeks ago. Peacefully in her sleep. Being together 54 years, since we were kids I needed so time even though it was expected. Thanks All for being here. Paul
  4. Same basic engine. Charlie Peppers Built Ford Shotgun Hemi that powered Bob Yoaks Ford in West Virginia's IHRA Pro Stock Probe. 787 cubic inches. Complete Engine including dry sump & starter, Headers Dyno Time only 1500 HP. Video and dyno certified. George Montgomery has a NOS Hilborn intake and fuel pump with timing cover. Just will need to dial in injector stack height for the power band. Here is the specs on the engine. 787 cubic inchesA441 , Heads Kaase Heads, Ford Motorsports Block, Bryant crank, Aires Titanium Rods, Jessel Valve train, Titanium Valves, .200 copper head gaskets w/ o ring grooves, Sheet metal intake, New 1150cfm Dominators, 15:1 Aries pistons. http:/H http://Hosted on Fotki http://Hosted on Fotki
  5. I should be able to run the Pinto next year at the FE Meet. Got a line on a turn key Shotgun engine from an old pro stock, just need to locate a Hilborn set up for it.
  6. Too bad you didn't say that a few months ago. I bought an Autocar DC64B motor home conversion at an insurance sale. Corner of the camper was burned from the exhaust stack. I stopped at a scrap yard near the auction site and gave them $200 to remove it with a back hoe because I only wanted the cab and chassis. Aside from some smoke smell it was actually pretty nice. Paul
  7. Same yard as the B model service truck?
  8. http://partcraft.com/catalogs/2011-HD-CD-CATALOG/HD-PDF-PRINT-FINAL.pd They have Sheppard 492 Series 5 Sector Shaft seals in stock, you may be able to cross the Sheppard Number to National Seal numbers. Both inner and out seals are the same Sheppard P/N 79148 Pressure seal assembly is Sheppard P/N 79159 Page 10 on the link posted above
  9. No. Ex Mickey Thompson.Never really run more the a few times so it's said. It's been sitting since his murder. No engine, set up for an FE Shot Gun unit with a Garlits Drive. I'll most likely dig out my 72 season Alcohol Dodge. I can't justifiy 26g's for a 612 c.i. plus an other 10g for the 14/71 , Hilborn injection and blower drive.
  10. After 3 years getting the SVO dialed in I swapped it for a 1971 Pinto that also came with a fist full of cash. NHRA changed my class rules and no longer allows forced induction. No way to make the Mustang comply. I'll post a Pinto pic when I get back home later.
  11. Probably be cheaper in the end to send yours out for plating. Watts did a limited pre sold run of repro's in 2006 for $600 each and the last new Chrome shell was on here in 2012 and sold for $1250 plus shipping. Better investment than gold.
  12. At least until 1943.
  13. A particular Mediterranean army, when they left Ethiopia in the 1930's, brought 5000 back home as War Brides....
  14. Pops Jag about 1965 at Suffolk Dragway. Blown 327 SBC, 2nd and hi only trans and 5:13 Chevy 3/4 to rear. Oh the Blower was chain drive double roller no belt. Hosted on Fotki
  15. My pop had an XKE he used to drag race in the mid to late 1960's Have to scan the photo at Suffolk Dragway. I think it was a 1962 or so.
  16. The 3% gain doesn't even come close to the mileage lost through the required use of ethanol, which is usually up to a 30% MPG loss.
  17. When I was a kid my mom would put Morricone on my cuts
  18. 2 was for Thermodyne Gas engines, NLA by than
  19. Did you look to see if the play was in the box or in the u joints/ yokes. ? Just tossing it out because it is easily over looked. Paul
  20. Best watch this video of hers after the 2 minute point and see if you still feel fully complacent with you back to her. . .
