  1. What should this system be replaced with? Single party? No parties? Voting or appointment to office? No baiting, just curious, because that exact phrase was mentioned on a few news shows just this morning.
  2. Or when you ask a question and get the answer "yeah, no".
  3. I'll tell my wife they're self buttering. They did lay down in a bed of French Fries after their time in the sauna. Well since they rode down from Maine, I figured they need to stretch their legs a bit. As for dinner you missed it by a few minutes.
  4. Needless to say, I'm not to be trusted alone with lobsters any more. Thought it was funny myself.
  5. MACK in Medford N.Y. gets $149.00 per hour with a 3 hour minimum for ANY repair.
  6. They may have made a token cut back in China but they are still working on coal globally. China’s two global policy banks, the China Development Bank and the Export-Import Bank of China, have already provided more than $43 billion in overseas coal financing, show the Chinese energy investments info published this year by Boston University. Some of the countries targeted for coal-power expansion, like Egypt or Pakistan, currently burn almost no coal, and the new coal plants could set the course of their national energy policies for decades, environmentalists warn. In Egypt, coal projects by Shanghai Electric and other global developers are set to bring the country’s coal-fired capacity to 17,000 megawatts, from near zero, according to the Urgewald database. Pakistan’s coal capacity is set to grow to 15,300 megawatts from 190. In Malawi, planned coal projects would bring its coal-fired capacity to 3,500 megawatts from zero. Chinese companies are not the only drivers of the global coal expansion. The world’s single largest coal-plant developer is India’s NTP corp. which plans to build more than 38,000 megawatts of new coal capacity in India and Bangladesh. Japan’s Marubeni Corp. is also involved in joint ventures for a combined 5,500 megawatts of new coal generation in Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia, according to the database. Japan is also adding to its coal-fired capacity at home, to make up for an energy shortfall in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear disaster. A Marubeni spokesman confirmed projects in the four countries as of 2017. Western investors also continue to play a role in financing new coal plants overseas. Bonds and shares of the world’s biggest coal developers, like India’s National Thermal Power and Marubeni, are frequently found in the portfolios of large institutional investors and banks. To much profit involved to stop.
  7. Probably in all honesty had no idea on the bearings, most likely never went more than a few miles locally. As for the lights, no excuses for him no knowing. Paul
  8. Nice Dogs! Welcome! Paul
  9. Yes about an hour or so if you've done one before. I haven't done one in years but it all comes out from the front. Input shaft cover, a snap ring, bearing and second snap ring as I recall. I think there was also a bearing on the main shaft the Input shaft goes on. Need a seal and gasket for the cover and lock tight the bolts. Personally for the hour labor I would let a tranny shop do it while you wait.
  10. Clariben made hoods for many manufacturers as factory items. Diamond Reo, Marmon, Autocar, Dodge Big Horn, Pena Motor, Dina, IBEX, Ramirez, and International in the early 1960's
  11. Kind of an interesting parallel here. Before WWII we thought the Japanese were only able to copy things and had no skills to design and produce advanced items. We are have been made the same assumptions mainly about China, Mexico and India. Now it has come back ten fold to bite us in the butt.

  17. Military hardware, the Chinese copy much from the U.S. ,Germany and Russia and freely admit they follow Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu 's book "The Art of War" written in the 5th century BC. One of the 13 chapters is devoted to how you allow your enemy to spent the time and cost of developing a new weapon and copy it with improvements for your usage. But the Russia PAC-FA and the Chinese J20 both us copies of our stealth tech. Chinese ZTZ 99A MBT is the best of the Abrams, Russias T90 and Germany's Leopard with a similar silhouette and main gun. As for must other current consumer products China now actually produces high quality items 80% of the time. Comparable to ours and the EU's. Sadly some are of higher quality. Cyber espionage is a fact of life because companies do not take appropriate steps to halt it, both here and China are lax is security. The channels for some of it is scary. Before the F-22 prototype was shown, A model company in China had a 95% accurate model kit on the shelves world wide. Same thing happened with Russia's Sukhoi T-50 PAK-FA stealth fighter by and other Chinese model company, a year before it was made public.
