  1. At least the carb was easy to replace.
  2. Very nice swap, it was an AC-6 chassis originally.
  3. Walmart plans to test Tesla's electric tractor trailers and has already ordered five of them, the retailer told CNBC on Friday. "We have a long history of testing new technology – including alternative-fuel trucks – and we are excited to be among the first to pilot this new heavy-duty electric vehicle," the company said in a statement to CNBC. "We believe we can learn how this technology performs within our supply chain, as well as how it could help us meet some of our long-term sustainability goals, such as lowering emissions." The pilot is planned for the U.S. and Canada. Walmrt's fleet has about 6,000 trucks. In an expansion from personal vehicles, Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled an electric semi tractor-trailer Thursday that has a 500-mile range on a single charge and is electronically connected with a fleet's management system. The vehicle allows the driver to stand and puts the steering wheel in the center with a touchscreen panel on both sides of the driver. Musk said the truck is set to go into production in 2019, although the company has fallen far behind on its production schedule for the Model 3 mass market consumer vehicles. Tesla shares traded about 2 percent higher late Friday morning. J.B. Hunt Transport Services announced earlier on Friday it has reserved "multiple" new electric semis just unveiled by Elon Musk.
  4. You think an in frame is pricey now eh? SAAB's design was much simpler and cost less than this design, but that was 17 years ago. IMO less moving parts is added reliability To alter the combustion chamber volume, the Saab Varible Compression ( SVC) lowers the cylinder head closer to the crankshaft . It does this by replacing the typical one-part engine block with a two-part block, with the crankshaft in the lower block and the cylinders in the upper portion. The two blocks ar hinged together at one side. By pivoting the upper block around the hinge point, the volume of the combustion chamber can be modified. In practice, the SVC adjusts the upper block through a small range of motion, using a hydraulic actuator. This design was originally patented by Gregory J. Larsen of Lakeland, FL USA
  5. Talked to the gentleman a month ago about the hoods since I can't find a Clariben for my Mixer. All hand laid up and the quality is very good, but as mentioned above it is for air ride B only which severely limits the market. $5 grand is pricey .

  10. One giant nightmare! Camper was burned behind the stack and flexing so I tarped and strapped it. Made everything worse, it started to collapse on it self with every bump and losing pieces. Paid a guy in a salvage yard $200 to rip the camper off with a back hoe and make it go away. Turned into from a 7 hour to a 15 hour trip.

  12. One of the few companies that still does that is Checkers Restaurants. My wife a few years ago posted on the Checkers site her opinion of the one in Shirley N.Y. We got called by the owner to ask what was wrong and what she thought would make it better. Sent her $100 in free meal vouchers and called a month later to ask if she noticed the changes. Rare in this day and age. Paul
