Anthem fuel tank specs and measurements
41chevy replied to Mackpro's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
Un interrupted air flow for less drag. -
Yeah mostly for fuel. Running at high cruise on calm water it'll burn 50 to 60 gallons an hour. Take it into the ocean it'll burn 70 to 90 an hour. It only has twin tanks with balance pumps to move the C/G for a total cap of 230 gallons of 101 octane Marine gas at $4.08 a gallon. If we spend $36,000 for new 570 GM crate motors (1280 h.p. as opposed to current 950 h.p.) with Injection It will burn less fuel, but the hull is a 1968 and it's not worth it without going to Kevlar mods. One of the Big Blocks will probably go in my Valkrye in place of the 383.

Best place to put CB radio in a R-model cab
41chevy replied to Vladislav's topic in Exterior, Cab, Accessories and Detailing
The CB in my R when I got had whats called a Slip Seat Radio box. Housed a CB and Stereo radio with two speakers. Slid into a bracket between the seats with power, just needed to plug in antenna leads It was removable to go from truck to truck. sold through Overdrive magazine a few years ago.. You could probably make up a similar one. -
That's not a smirk that's a wind blown smile. The only reason the AutoCar interests me is most all is the cab, tin and chassis parts fit both of mine. My rack body has a A/C 21000 360 h.p. and my tractor has a Cummins 1710VTA in it.

Up on Long Island we'd come out of Port Jefferson Harbor and head west dead center of the Long Island Sound wide open and always pick up a Coast Guard or County heli following us for a bit. The Donzi we had was worse, we could out run the Coast Guard heli on smooth water. Sweet 16 Donzi repowered from a 318 to a 440. Jacuzzi jet drive, 574 h.p. in 16 feet of glass, good for a radar clock 119 mph. Good toy until we hit a foam lobster buoy at speed and punched a big hole in the hull. Made big turns at speed and ran it on the beach in Mount Sinai Harbor My wife says I'm an Adrenalin junkie. I figure I just don't enough to pay for my sins. I keep cheating the reaper since 1971 .

It will top out at 82 at 5300 rpm , with 3 blade 33 degree props. It is 38 feet long. a tad to fast for trolling though.

It's not all that nice. The engines are very tired and there is no place to run it near us in Va, so I will probably strip the engines and gauges out and put it in the corner of the barn.

They're out of Seacliff on L.I.'s Gold Coast. They do a lot of multi million dollar houses.

If the Wagner number is correct that's the same number the 70's Ford F450. F500 and I believe the F600 used. Try Federal Mogul

Two crappy photos, $1200 and a 1500 mile round trip from Fork Union Va to Union City, Tenn. not counting that we are in Maine right now, that adds another 730 on to it. Igot no idea what shape it's in, what power or trans or the exact model, but I can't see it being cut for scrap. Just looks too solid to me. Very least I get spares or my pair of Acars. Paul

Yes they have always has been separate hence the electoral college, but first time it has been openly stated in my memory.

All of what we have been discussing boils down to a few things, Power and Profit. The most frightening phrase to me, was used by Bush43 in his speech yesterday. He made a statement about the United States "Ruling Class" being up set over being attacked for lack of action by the current administration. I never knew that this country had a ruling class separate and above the common people. Fits with Mitch McConnell calling a 2 TRILLION potential loss "Chump Change". When I was in Richmond getting a waiver for my M917 (3 7/7 inches too wide) I hear the term "paperless immigrant" to describe a DMV applicant. As for new accepted terms try on Empty Barrel as being a racial slur. Here I always thought it was all noise no action.

Enforcing the laws,Judges who follow the letter of the law and not their interpretation. Punishment that is punishment, No cable TV internet and "special foods" and the comforts of home.. Bring back a prison program that teaches a marketable trade and pays the system to off set the costs. Finally put the incouragables in a special prison where they can't pray on and corupt the others. Repeat offenders? let the pick up pebbles in the desert! Biggest thing I would like to happen is treat our older people as well as we currently treat our criminals.

People tend to over look the simplest. Paul

How true! When I hauled my M917 from Philly to Virginia the Surplus dealer put a cover that the U.S. Military uses for transport on the stack. He told me it was to save the turbo from free wheeling. Paul

I find it amazing how the perception of facts change . 429 civilians killed by police nationally, 146 were minorities, 9 were black. Blacks killed by blacks 7881. Should be addressing that. IMO. Causes of moral decline? Loss of the traditional family along with it's values, lack of religion,, drug culture and societies acceptance of drug use, video games, roll models whom most have no morals and the massive politically correct , non offensive push by many (not all) schools, and the climate of not taking personal responsibility for ones actions.

Colin Kaepernick has a 2017 salary of $14.5 . Not enough money to make a difference he says. I did find out what started his protest with his initial statement . '' I began paying attention to reports about the thousands of unarmed black people being killed by the police every year. The posts on social media deeply disturbed me, but one in particular brought me to tears: the murder of Michael Brown in Ferguson. This could have happened to any of my family. I felt furious, hurt and hopeless. I wanted to do something, but didn’t know what or how to do it. All I knew for sure is that I wanted it to be as respectful as possible to my fans''.
