  1. Yeah I believe his Peterbilt has power steering. It was just funny to see a younger guy saying that kinda stuff. I mean I'm only 35yrs old but I grew up hearing those old truck stories and as I was watching his video it made my blood boil like how dare you say that most of the old truckers lied about having to reach through to shift both sticks. When he was showing his demonstration on a Peterbilt 359.
  2. Yeah that lady wearing leopard was past her prime aaaaaaaaaaalonnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggg time ago..The guy with her is prolly like "Look at this arm candy boys!!!!" And every guy there is thinkin' "Go antique shopping lately cause that arm candy sure looks like one" hahahaha 😆 😂 😜 😉
  3. I'm not sure. My Grandpa didn't take any interior pictures of it. He said it was fun going from his two stick to the 3 Stick hahahaha. "Bud I had a hard enough time remembering what gear I was in or which stick I just shifted with just two sticks" 'Then I got that B67 with a "Tri-plex which had 3 sticks and I was really blown away hahahaha" is what he always told me. He called the two-stick a Du-plex and the 3 stick a Tri-plex. He said he enjoyed driving both. I'd give anything to be able to go back and drive them old Dogs with him.
  4. There's a guy on Youtube I think his channel is Bubbles8v92 he did a video showing how to shift the 6 and 4 Transmission in his Pete. He blatantly said that " The whole reaching through the wheel to shift was a total Farse". It was funny because the comments came flooding in with guys Saying " Well you can tell this Young pup ain't never drove a Mack".
  5. Those Two Lil cars are actually 1960's Mini Coopers
  6. I'd love to have that Camaro or that Willys Coupe sitting in my Garage.....
  7. I will have to find the pictures of the whole truck it was actually Duck yellow. Would love to have one just like it I'd drive the wheels off of it or his B67 that was red and had three sticks. I would give anything to go back then and be a truck driver. My Grandpa always told me I was born and a driver in the wrong Era especially since I love the old iron and old school ways of back then.
  8. I know the 86 GMC General I drove had two switch air actuated wipers. And none of you guys are OFF Topic in my thread here. That's why I started it to here the old stories just like my Grandpa used to tell me growing up. My Grandpa was the guy that took pictures of everything and anything. That's why we have pictures of his old trucks. Some of them are even still in Black and white.
  9. That's awesome 👌 thanks Bob
  10. Not sure what an MB steering wheel is there Bob
  11. Someone commented on another thread about the wipers on a Blue B61 in Police academy looked different being top mounted. This a picture of the inside of my Grandpa's B61 and the wipers are also top mount.
  12. This is after the first time i had Brightener put on the body of the truck. It helps it stay clean and shine longer. Doesn't hurt the paint or anything.
  13. I polished my tanks and wheels after I had them brighten everything which brings the oxidation to surface and everything looks dull. Now the only thing that gits brightened is the occasional van trailer or flatbed I'm pulling at the time and the body of my Truck. Bottom picture is when I first got the truck the driver that had it before me hadn't washed it in months. Top picture is after it's first bath and brightener on all chrome. Picture below that is after i hand polished and got rid of all the oxidation.
  14. I believe Alumibright is the same stuff that The Blue Beacon uses if I'm remembering right. Stuff works great and has done wonders for my trucks paint job.
  15. Yeah it's "brightner" also known as Acid Brightner useful for bringing up the oxidation hiding beneath the surface of your chrome rims, battery boxes, fuel tanks etc....It won't harm the paint on the truck at all. Like I said I have Blue Beacon do it all the time because it's free and it helps my truck look cleaner longer.
  16. Hmm seeing that crankshaft brings back some memories of when I was a junior in Highschool. We had one of those in our scrap bin at the vocational school I went to and some boys in my class didn't think I could pick it up. Yeah not only did I pick the thing up off the ground but I pressed it about 5 times over my head just for good measure hahahaha.
  17. I have the Blue Beacon here in Beaverdam,Ohio spray brightener on the Body of my Truck. It helps the truck stay cleaner longer and it helps the paint not Dull out. Just don't git it on your windows or it will eat them up.
  18. My Grandpa's B61 was the same way with top mount wipers
  19. Yeah I had a 2006 Freightliner Coronado had a 2005 Detroit Series 60 14.0L under the hood. 515hp from the factory and 7Mpg
  20. They can have them ACERT Cats I'd rather put a 14.0 Liter 60 series Detroit under the hood of a Mack.
  21. That will work
  22. What's the mileage?
  23. He would run the thread through the Stud holes or bolt holes and basically loosely tie the gasket to whatever he was putting on ( Water pump, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, heads etc.) The thread doesn't hurt the gaskets and once you set whatever it may be in place it easily cuts the thread and he could easily pull the thread out and the gasket was set.
  24. You Guys talking about putting gaskets on brought back memories of my Grandpa. He worked on trucks back before he owned them and even after he owned them of course lol. He always used thin sewing thread to hold any type of gaskets on while setting them.
