  1. I'm the only one really with a a Mack around here, everybody else is kenworth and pete
  2. I love the truck I have. Just parts are getting harder to find and it is getting older, so it needs a little more maintenance . I would love to be able to buy a brand new CL. I am with you guys, though. I feel like I could put a new box on it and do quite a bit of maintenance for less than a newer truck. And still have a really nice truck. Was just curious on the new engine and tranny combos
  3. I have a 01 CL713 E7460 with a Maxitorque 18sp and air ride quad axle dump truck which has been extremely reliable and will probably keep it with they still made them. But I'm leaning towards a new or newer Granite MP8 505 13spMdrive and the Mride suspension. I just read alot of negative stuff about these newer trucks I can't afford to have it at the shop all the time. What are you guys seeing for reliability on these new trucks I know it's a loaded question. Also it's only local hauling so not big miles a year about 50k
  4. I told um to get the front diff coming its obviously where the noise was coming from had metal chunks in it also going to replace torque arms and suspension wear pads and hold off on the transmission
  5. Well rearend noise got worse took it to dealer they found the front diff has damage and want to put one in and they want to rebuild the synchronizers in the transmission
  6. Yea I don't think it's the transmission anymore
  7. I'm gunna take that cover off and check it out good idea on locking it in and turning it will do it at slow speeds
  8. It has a interaxle lockout switch in the cab so power divider I think I'll try taking that cover off and inspect in there
  9. Found 2 u joints with a little movement so replaced those which seemed to change the noise now I really am leaning towards the front diff now I can make it growl/rattle in almost any gear going slow under load checked both with heat gun after a drive both about 125 I figured one would be hotter but there not but I'm still leaning on rearend
  10. The tag on the tranny says 2017 ReMack so it's been replaced but idk when or why
  11. I think the noise has been there just getting more pronounced
  12. I've been told the whole truck is about as tough as they come so shouldn't have to many issues lol
  13. It will grind a little when it's cold going from low to high on the initial first shift in the morning so I think the synchronizers are probably starting to get wore which doesn't concern me as much as the rattling noise I'll take a good look at the driveline though
  14. I've had if for about a year it doesn't seem to do it in high gear but definitely 7th gear
  15. It has a e7 460 and mack diffs but all rear tires are new
