  1. Nice lookin' B.
  2. OE is my first choice. Donaldson and NAPA Gold are good too. Not a fan of washable K&N filters. BTW, welcome to BMT.
  3. Thanks for the weekly update! Alliance...not too far from Freightrain Larry and my "home base".
  4. I think they were "nice" because they have to be...customers. After all they are working for a big tip. But I would give them the whole thing albeit not BIG.
  5. I don't remember the fleet's name but they were located near Charlotte, NC. This was in the early 1980s. I don't think they are still in business. I will dig into my junk pile library and see if I can find more info. This was a factory rating for the 3208T on-highway engine. I think the marine version (turbo and charge air cooled) was rated at 500 or higher.
  6. I'd give her a "treat"!
  7. Thanks Mack V has an auto....correct?
  8. Therein lies the problem. You should have went to sleep after you got back from dinner.
  9. My first thought was you got "lucky" with the Mrs. (or someone).
  10. Congrats Carl on the new addition to the family! Have fun!
  11. Yes the 3208 is called a "throw away" engine. If I remember correctly, the 3208 never had wet sleeves. It was always a parent bore block. The 3208 was a high reving engine and sounded good at high RPMs. For the size of the engine, they were a good engine, especially the turbo version. There was an OTR fleet that ran 3208T rated at 350hp.
  12. Could be, but likely the governor setting.
  13. Are they blowing the snow on the streets/buildings below? If so I would not want to be there.
  14. I have been trying for the past several shows to get a "good lookin' wommin" to attend and pose with trucks. Not sure if it is me, my truck, or too cheap to pay. Ya think?
  15. Post a pic of your radio. I am sure it is manufactured by an OE that supplies other truck companies. Have you contacted your local Mack dealer? Here is something I found on the internet, hopefully it will help. http://www.ehow.com/how_7447576_set-time-mack-truck-radio.html
  16. Happy Birthday! Hope it was a good one!
  17. Hmmm, 4th time....maybe you better not go again! Seriously...congrats and hope it is healthy!
  18. Ron, I have seen the air operated RH window setup. It is on my list along with air operated RH door lock. I checked into the parts and if I remember correctly, some of the parts are NLA. I will likely have to find parts from a used truck. P.S. Check you PMsg. I sent you a note about my operational issue.
  19. While rumaging thru my many stacks of crap reference material I came across this Service Training manual dated 10 1985 (ASO60-7M-1085). It is 24 pages and shows all the MH connections and locations in addition to wiring ID and service hints. Of particular interest to me is the sleeper wiring harness. The book states the sleeper wiring harness (speakers and accessories) is only found with the optional Level 3 trim (and I would think Level 4). A separate harness is used for the cab roof and it appears the center dome/map light connector is present. The dome lamps in the sleeper is a separate harness. I will have to look at my MH, if I am lucky the harness was standard on later years. Perhaps someone with a Level 3 or 4 trim has a part number for this harness. BTW, the connector (9 pin) is located in the RH side of the sleeper roof. If anyone needs info I will try to copy sections of the book. Does anyone know if there is a more recent version of this manual that covers the E7 V-Mac?
  20. It seems Mack's "china connection" does not make parts like original. I am on my second driver's side window crank. The knob is held on by a spiral pin pressed into the rubber-like knob. The first one lasted about two (2) times and now the knob is about to fall off the second one. The last one I bought cost about $26. I have seen "boxes" that mount over the crank stud. There are also kits that mount inside the door cavity. Has anyone coverted their manual window crank to electric? If so, what did you use? Did the early CHs with fiberglas doors use/offer electric driver and passenger windows? Thanks for your help!
  21. Good looking Cruiseliner. Needs work but price is reasonable.
  22. Welcome!
  23. Personally I think the E7 is a better engine.
