  1. Greg, Good to see you on here. Sorry to hear about your job in Millersburg. Best of luck in your new job in KS. Nice looking little house. New territory for "Mack hunting". Are you planning to drive the A-30 to KS?
  2. Is it the Stupid 8 east of Lancaster on Route 30? If so I stayed there several years ago and it was a "dive". The Rodeway Inn in Akron, PA is a luxury hotel compared to the S8 on Route 30. Hope they remodeled the place and meets with your approval.
  3. No golf cart rentals that I know of. There are several food vendors at the show (and they have GREAT PIE). Doug - is your daughter selling hoagies this year?
  4. I am in OH until Monday (23rd) so I will not be attending. I heard about Power Day last week from a Mack friend. I did not see this advertised until now. Wish I would have known earlier. Doug - take lots of pictures if you attend.
  5. Marcel....EXCELLENT! Can't wait for a complete trip report with PICS. Remember the rules...No pics = it didn't happen and
  6. Thanks...never saw it there....remember I am an old fart.
  7. Where is the REPORT button? BTW, if I see a thread going "off track" I quit viewing the thread. Also if I see a thread started by a "questionable" person, I don't view/read it.
  8. Happy Birthday Greg wherever you are! I hope you are doing okay. I missed seeing you at the Dover Steam show in August.
  9. My condolences to you and your family.
  10. Maybe the lady in this vid could teach us how to shift gears... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq6YbOOVAtQ
  11. I agree. I drive my MH infrequently so I have to "re-learn" how to shift a non-sync tranny each time I drive. In my opinion, the only way to learn to shift correctly is to watch the tach (know your shift points - hi and low rpm) and PRACTICE! Check your clutch adjustment and keep practicing. Like other have said, don't force the shift.
  12. Let me know when you are going to sell your MH. The Cruiseliner is a nice looking truck but I like the MH better.
  13. Excellent night shot. Maybe I should read my camera's manual. 95-100mph....
  14. Hmmm, maybe I will cancel my no-tell hotel reservations and sleep in the trailer. Do they charge to use the facilities? I see there is a $30 fee for camping (self contained). Going to Farm Science Review in London, OH on Tuesday (17) and Wednesday (18). Hoping to find a "deal" on a Honda EU2000i generator. Who is going to attend??? Who is planning to be at the Friday night dinner?
  15. Nice pics. New camera takes very nice quality images.
  16. Nice looking Superliner. Sorry to hear about the situation and my condolences to his family. Reminds us all to be CAREFUL when working on big stuff (little stuff too).
  17. Just follow the black tire marks on the pavement. BTW, earlier this week I saw a friend who works at the Mack Customer Center. Customers want to know about the black tire marks on the hill.
  18. Good news Tom! Hope it makes it home without any issues. Post some pics when it arrives. Give me a call and I will stop by for a look-see. BTW, I sent you a PM.
  19. Wow! Glad wife and dau are okay. Yes, too close!
  20. No, fuel price is too high for a fill up. But I may check it when I go to Gerhart's.
  21. Thanks Leslie. It looks better in the images than in real life. I need to touch up the frame, battery boxes, etc. and polish the tanks and bumper.
  22. Nice vid! Looking forward to seeing it and you in Lititz. PM me details on your GoPro and mount.
  23. Most of the time I use my old rusty but trusty Olympus SP350 (8MP) camera but also have a Canon SX160is (16MP). My BIG fancy shmancy SLR camera is a Canon EOS 7D (18MP). I was told by my camera friend Canon has the best chipset. Camera quality is based on chipset and lens. Although most point-and-shoot cameras are similar quality. I prefer a bigger camera rather than a pocket size. Remember size matters! Good luck with the new one! The results will be the judge. What is the zoom on your new camera (for those hill goats and long distance truck shots)? P.S. You should have bought one with the x-ray feature for those wimmin shots.
  24. Replaced the drain valve on Saturday. I applied some heat (propane torch) to the threaded area. I used my 2' adjustable wrench (didn't have a 1-1/16" open end and too lazy to cut the cable to use a box end but had my pipe wrench handy). I applied a little muscle and I was surprised, the valve came loose without any problem. Installed the new valve. Next week I am going to replace the two (2) valves in the RH tank. Also plan to replace the TT valve and install new lines and gladhands. Off to Tittsburgh this morning for a week long conference.
