  1. I can understand both sides of this issue. An occasional albeit minimal "romp" on the throttle is okay. You will find a similar thing at car shows. The club could make a rule...no running of engines once parked...but no one likes a lot of rules. At a tractor show, attendees expect to see/hear tractors running and operating. Personally, I just park my truck and "chill out" with my fav cigar, visit with friends, and watch the scenery.
  2. Thanks for the pics, specially the MH. The blue/white Pete was their offering of a more aerodynamic cabover design. It has a lift-up front "hood". Don't remember if the cab tilted too. I saw a few in the 90's. Personally don't like the big sun visors on the orange and blue Petes.
  3. 10-4 on the hand job.
  4. Thanks for the pic. Always good to see members. You will need to attend a truck show, get your pic with other BMT members attending, and post here. You can checkout some of our mugs in other postings.
  5. Nice! Is that Vlad driving the truck?
  6. Same can be said of Mack and the E7.
  7. Nice pics. Thanks for posting. Any more pics of the MH?
  8. It amazes me how we can go off on tangents and still be informative. I am not much of an Eagles fan but I do like Tequila Sunrise.
  9. I lived 61 years without Facebook and still use a basic cell phone....life is good!
  10. Where are you located? Call your local license bureau and they can likely give you the info.
  11. I remember the Mack shop at Hagerstown Powertrain back in the mid 80s. It was about the size of a phone booth and was CRAMMED with goodies. But something is better than nothing. Someone from BMT will have to check it out and write a "trip report".
  12. Nice vids. I see Watt's got a quick advert. You guys will soon be charging to look and listen to your IH. Will you be signing autographs at Watt's show?
  13. Saw this article... http://www.truckinginfo.com/news/story/2013/08/new-mack-shop-opens-at-the-mack-customer-center.aspx?utm_campaign=headline-news-20130809&utm_source=email&utm_medium=enewsletter&prestitial=1#.UgblhVSPQpQ.email
  14. Nice Brocks...nice pics...thanks Vinny
  15. It didn't take long for this thread to go deep into the gutter.
  16. Nice pics! I am going to visit Beaver, PA sometime soon.
  17. On my way from central PA to OH today I was thinking a good run would be Mack Hagerstown north on I-81, Chambersburg to Bedford via route 30, I-99 north to route 22, route 22 west to New Alex home of Watt Mack. Lots of uphill and downhill grades crossing the mountains. Lots of neat places along the route.
  18. bio, water, etc. will cause debris. also old fuel will degrade and form gums/sediment. is the fuel dark? drain the fuel and look inside the tank.
  19. Put a hood and bumper on it and take it to Gerhart's!
  20. Barry - I plan to be there with my MH. If I bring the trailer...will I need to drop it in the back of the show grounds?
  21. I like the look of the Ford N but this one has too much "glitz" for me. Can't see the truck for all the chrome.
  22. You are correct but you sit higher in a cabover so chances are the "accident" will be "under" you. That is unless you hit a wall.
  23. Nice pics. COEs rule!
  24. Does it shutdown with the engine at low idle? Have you tried running the engine at 1000-1200 rpm and see if it still shuts down? Could be computer is programmed to shutdown after 30 seconds at idle. Seems quick (30 seconds) but you need to check the computer shutdown setting. BTW, welcome to BMT.
