  1. Leslie - if you can back a pickup and camper/trailer, you can back a semi. Find someone with a trailer and practice. Look in the yellow pages and you might find a truck driving school that will rent "by the hour" and you can practice on their closed course. For the most part, a CDL is a good thing to have in your pocket. And the medical card...find a CVS drug store and hope there is a good lookin' female medic who will check you for a hernia. As for the 21,600, that is likely the "declared weight" for license/title purposes.
  2. She can put my "hot dog" in her bun anytime! P.S. I think I used all my "likes" on this thread. Oh and everyone have a safe and happy 4th!! My last day to enjoy 60.
  3. Vlad, Thanks for the review of your trip to the USA. Great pics too! It was a pleasure to meet you and your son. I hope you get to visit the USA again. Take care! P.S. You visited more places and saw more in two (2) weeks than most US citizens see in a lifetime.
  4. Nice lookin' MH and wimmin. Dang, I wish that blonde was at the farm. She could polish my "bumper".
  5. The Allison was smoother on the "take off" than the M-drive or Eaton Ultrashift. In "close quarter" work I would prefer Allision. Didn't get a chance to use the "jake" on the Granite.
  6. Congrats JT....do BMT members get towing "discount"?
  7. Mike - cruiser and super look nice. As for the batteries...that will teach you not to be like Otherdog and take "road shots".
  8. Mark - I am "lucky" to have a contact at Mack. At Trucktoberfest 2012, I had the opportunity to drive a M-drive truck/trailer around the track. I also was able to drive a Granite dump with Allison too. Not bragging, just sayin' it was great opportunity.
  9. Nice pics. Nice variety of trucks. Thanks for posting!
  10. Yep, a few of us signed up for life.
  11. Terry, Sorry to hear you sold your B. It is tough to sell something that has meaning. Been there, life goes on (hopefully for the better).
  12. tripometer?
  13. Not sure why is it called an Amercian Pot but... Most of us old country farts never had indoor plumbing (bathroom with shitter). We had an outhouse (usually a two-holer just in case someone else needed it while you were in there). In the middle of the night (especially winter) you did not want to be tripping to the outhouse to "take care of business". A "pot" was something used in the house that you did your "business" in. It was usually a decorative ceramic large container with a lid. You emptied and cleaned it each day. Us poor folks just used a galvanized bucket. You asked, now you know!
  14. Mrs. FWD is definitely better looking than "the old man".
  15. I will be at the Keystone Chapter truck show in Altoona.
  16. Carl - I agree! I should have bought a few HEMI Cudas when they were about $4K or a few Plymouth Superbirds when dealers could barely get people to buy them. But hindsight is 20/20.
  17. If the vehicle is spec'd with a GCVW of 26,000 or less, you should not need a CDL. If you talked to the local authorities, get it in writing and keep a copy in the vehicle just in case you get questioned.
  18. Saw a few PA Turnpike RD Macks this morning. I noticed the hood sides match up with the front cowl of the cab. Is the RD cab the same as the RW Superliner?
  19. If she was my wife and she was.....I would...... Oh, never mind!
  20. I'm with Vinny...HATE snakes. I do most of my "junk" yarding in the winter, also no weeds or bees. But it can be COLD!
  21. Saw this on Yahooey tonight. Amazing find. http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/scores-chevys-hidden-50-years-finally-sale-160911547.html
  22. Vlad has been Americanized....swearing like a trucker.
  23. Welcome to BMT. Where are you located? It would be nice if you put a location in your profile.
