  1. Welcome to the group. You have a nice looking superdog. Take care of the truck and don't do too many burnouts with it.
  2. Yea Larry and I thought $5K but there must have been 2 people that wanted it. I kinda remember seeing a Mack on here owned by a guy in the Wooster OH area. It was a B that neither Larry nor I knew about. Maybe Larry remembers.
  3. Yes, Little Red Express. The bed was a stepside and the stacks came thru the running board in front of the rear fenders.
  4. I contacted the auctioneer this morning. He said the B sold for $6000 to a collector near Wooster, OH (about 20 miles west of Massillon).
  5. Second part of the KB12 video. Love the sound! Been to Jerome, AZ in a 4-wheeler. Would hate to drive there in a big truck.
  6. Are you thinking of the Grand View Ship Hotel on the west side of Schellsburg? If so, it burnt many years ago and yes has since been torn down. I remember visiting there on Sunday's. It was an impressive place (at least for a kid). Or you thinking of the "trinket" shop on top of the hill overlooking Breezewood? That place and the land was excavated for the PA turnpike tunnel bypass.
  7. Glad I could be of assistance! Wasn't a HoJos originally on that site? I might make a thead about Route 30 (and 22 and 220) trucks and stops. Just wish I had taken pics "back in the day". Ron - now if you had some pics of your trucks in B'wood or any stops along Route 30.
  8. His birthday present?
  9. TA - you are talking about Gateway Travel Center. I did not remember it is TA (I am an old fart). To access the Post House you veer to the left of Post House Road just past Pilot. I believe Post House Road deadends at a farmer's residence. Hmm, I thought the Post House was still standing. It closed in 2004. Next time I go to Breezywood I will have to take a "detour" and take some pics.
  10. Send a note to Barry at Watt's with your VIN and he may be able to help.
  11. It's too early to voice my politically "incorrect" opinion.
  12. Happy Birthday Fred!
  13. It might have been Union 76 but I think it is Pilot now. Post House sits on the hill on the south side of 30 just east of 70. Can't remember where TA is located. This is the only pic I could find.
  14. Get someone to document the information for you. Would be a great book and include a bunch of pics.
  15. Neat video. I like it.
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. Mike - been thru your town several times. For 7 or 8 years the wifey and I stayed at a B&B in Stoughstown. Got off the PA greenstamp at Blue Mtn exit and went cross country (Newburg and Oakville) to the B&B. BTW, my brother-out-law used to live between Green Spring and Newville.
  18. As a kid living in south central PA, I remember a few real truck stops. One was on the west side of Duncansville at the foot of Cresson mountain, one at the top of Cresson mountain (Cresson Ridge Truck Stop if I remember correctly), and Peggy's Diner (not really a truck stop but a restaurant) just south of Claysburg. Peggy's Diner is still in business today at the same location. The others have closed. Wish I had a camera then and took lots of pictures. The Post House (Greyhound bus station) in Breezywood was a neat place (closed too). Of course Breezywood itself was a neat place "back in the day". Routes 22, 30, and 220 were the major highways. Love seeing pics of old truck stops, trucks, and restaurants/businesses. You could always tell where there was good food....lots of trucks in the parking lot. Keep posting those old pics!
  19. Very few if any C bodies were made with a manual tranny. Maybe the only model was the Sport Fury.
  20. I think like that 24/7. Perhaps I should wait till later and be more "politically correct".
  21. The B had the "stepped" muffler (small diameter outlet pipe - upper pic). The A used a large diameter muffler (large the whole length - lower pic). And I believe the air stack was larger on the A.
  22. Maybe Larry now has a collection...
  23. Speaking of waitresses....that is the subject....right? Seems most waitresses these days are "less than attractive mature or young" females or girls with tattoos and nose, lip, or eyebrow rings. And they all wear black tops and pants. Oh, never mind my comment about wearing black. Considering how they look...black may be best. Then there are the male waiters...tattoos and piercings too. I am very tempted at times to "refuse" service from these "freeks". Just sayin'. Bring back the 70s when women (and guys) took pride in how they dressed and looked. Long live mini-skirts and hot pants. The person who invented stretch pants in "plus" sizes should be "shot". Okay, I feel better now! Hmmm, wonder how many I PO'd with this post rant?
