  1. I will be at Watt's next week to pick up some parts and I will buy a can of Mack gray to try.
  2. so why not just hit the "ENTER" key to insert a blank line? Saves typing. WTF?!?!?!?!
  3. John Holmes...sorry wrong movie.
  4. Leslie...just noticed, did you polish the battery box cover? If so, what did you use?
  5. I was thinking the same thing but was resisting the urge to ask.
  6. Like the blue and the open R. Seen open B's but never a R.
  7. If they accepted my MH, your Superliner is a "sure thing".
  8. Burning sensation usually is an indicator of unburnt fuel. Could be low compression or per Staxx, a bad injector. Does the smoke go away after it is at operating temperature and driven?
  9. Most banks will not take "rolled" money. If they do, they will remove the rolls and run the coins thru a money counter. P.S. I am still working on removing the "first year of marriage pennies".
  10. Welcome to BMT. I too am sorry to hear about your dad. Nice restoration on the Ford. Stay tuned to BMT and something will come up for sale. Good luck! P.S. My OH residence is in Jackson Township not too far from the Rockne's on Portage and Frank.
  11. I have been following this thread with mixed emotions. Rather than go into a rant, my "more civil" thoughts are: 1. Why post a general ad looking for trucks and parts? If you join the forum, sit back, and read the posts. Then you will likely see any trucks or parts for sale. That is the purpose of the "FOR SALE" section. 2. Post a "Wanted" ad if you are looking for something specific. 3. If you are a new member, introduce yourself, what you do, etc. without stating specifics like "I want trucks to export". There are other dealers/individuals on here who likely buy stuff for export but are more discrete. Perhaps some courtesy and common sense should be shown by all. New members especially should sit back, read the posts, and understand rather than jumping in with both feet and pissing most some of us off! You can learn a lot just by reading and remaining quiet. Again, sit back, read, and enjoy BMT. Okay, I will be quiet now!
  12. I will add my 2 cents FWIW...in general I am against exporting Macks (or most other stuff). But the big issue is pricing. Exporters have customers who are willing to pay more than the true value of the vehicle/part/etc. So that makes it more difficult for "Joe Common Person" to purchase vehicles. Sellers see these "over inflated" prices and inflate the price. When "Joe Common Person" sees a vehicle for sale, it is usually passed by because of price. So unless one has the $$$$$ the vehicles are exported. I paid more for my MH than the "actual" value because the "sister" trucks were being sold to an exporter. In order to "save" this one I had to match the price. So this takes away capital that could be used to purchase other vehicles, parts, etc. I have limited funds but it seems the foreign enities have unlimited funds. I do not have a business so everything I purchase is for "hobby use". It is difficult to justify (even borrow funds) for an item that is for "fun".
  13. I suggested the "nametag" idea to Barry last summer.
  14. Welcome to BMT. Post some pics.
  15. Larry - let me know if you go look at the truck. Anyone "guess" at price?
  16. Nice job and pics.
  17. Denny (and Ruth Ann) - enjoyed your "open house" last year. I am also willing to contribute. No reason for you to bear the total cost.
  18. What conductor?
  19. mmmm, like the train lady.
  20. Perhaps he will post pics of the wimmin Mack trucks in the area!
  21. I was not sure when 17 digit VIN went into effect. Thanks for clearing my mess.
  22. Never heard of any Mack clubs "south of the border".
  23. The number stamped in the cab is the cab number. VIN is likely 17 digits (numbers and letters) Per 2stack... The VIN should be on a plate on the driver's door along with the model number. Also check the frame in case the cab was changed.
  24. Barry is being quiet about his day. Maybe Watt's sent him on a week long cruise for his birthday. Or maybe he has not recovered from the celebration.
