  1. Is your Nurse Practioner taking new patients? Colonoscopy itself is not bad (they put you to sleep during the procedure - at least they did me). Its the preparation the day/night before the procedure that is the killer.
  2. Nice! What year is it?
  3. Contact the Mack Museum and get a copy of the build record.
  4. Found these pics on the internet (blue one is a V8)
  5. Sorry to hear of your loss. The most important thing is your family is safe. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you. BTW, where are you located?
  6. Thanks for the info and warning!
  7. Dodged the bullet last night here in central PA. Did not lose electricity and the wind calmed during the night but starting in again this morning (25mph) along with rain. Forecast is for high winds (25-40mph with gusts to 60mph) and 4"-6" of sssssSNOW! Wednesday more rain. 4" pf rain in the gauge since the rain started Sunday night. I hope my MH does not blow over, it is parked ass end to the wind (it may fall on its face)! UPDATE (8:20a 30th) - snow is out of the forecast
  8. Stupidity, exposure, and "wow factor" are the main reasons (i.e. Hot Dog Jim Cantore).
  9. Thanks! I sent an email and will also call.
  10. kscarbel: I will agree with you on several points (especially concerning foreign ownership). I hope you are driving a personal vehicle made in America by an American company (GM or Ford). All the rest are owned by a foreign company (Chrysler, etc.). I own Jeep personal vehicles but I did not have a say in the change of ownership of Chrysler. I also question the purchase of a new GM (Government Motors) vehicle. I have several friends who work at Mack. The bottom line is...if Volvo (or some other company) did not buy (or invest in) Mack, Mack did not have the resources to develop a new engine to meet increasingly strict EPA emissions regs. Hence Mack would have closed the doors or offered a truck with another brand of engine. Remember the ASET engine starting in 2002 and its performance/reliability. Caterpillar was interested in Mack in the mid 80s but did not pursue because they did not want to market an on-highway vehicle. Fast forward to 2010 - Cat and Neverstar. I don't agree with everything Volvo has done with Mack but we have to move on. I own a Mack truck as a hobby so my concern is the supply of parts to maintain my vehicle. Foreign ownship is something that we will have to live with, like it or not. Too many Americans and American companies are only concerned about the $$$$$$$. A majority of the blame I put on Wall Street and the investment community. I will get off my soap box!
  11. As I post this note, over 1" of rain today here in RS with 3"-6" expected by noon Tuesday. Winds are blowing at 25mph with gusts up to 40mph. Praying the electricity stays on and the trees don't come down on the house, barn, out buildings, and the MH. Predicting up to 60mph gusts later tonight and Tuesday morning. It will be an interesting 24 hours.
  12. I was thinking about a V8 in any of them...I put a MHV8 in there because I already have a MH E7. But I am starting to accumulate MH parts so maybe I should concentrate on a MH w/V8 (single axle?). I should have bought a second MH from Martin's and repowered one with a E9. Too late now.
  13. Looking good Vinny....remember only 8 months till Macungie!!
  14. Yes, tell me about it. It takes some time to learn where to place it on the road when you don't have a hood in front of the windshield. I get nervous in construction zones with the concrete barriers on the line and narrow lanes. And then you have a semi passing you.
  15. I saw a placard with #111 (that includes non-Macks too). If they do it again next year, the parade around the track needs to be changed so we all get a chance to run the circle "at speed" for at least 2 or 3 laps. I stayed on the track for an additional lap and got waved off just when it was getting fun.
  16. I have 35 acres in central PA (about 3-1/2 hours west of Allentown and close to Watts and Hagerstown). We can "work out a deal"!
  17. My thoughts exactly....reminds me of the old saying "check the fuel and fill it with oil". And can you imagine trying to sleep with that 2-stroke screaming all night.
  18. Did you get the cereal number of the MH? (sorry Vinny)
  19. I am a retired engineer and yes companies are always pushing for something "newer" and "cheaper". Of course new government regulations "force" alot of new technology (but not necessarily better technology).
  20. Thanks guys for the info and pics. What is the going price for a nice original late model RS single axle (if one can be found)? V8 would be a hot setup but I would settle for a nice original 6cyl. The hunt is on....CF - RS - MHV8....darn can't decide and I definitely don't have the jingle to buy them all! Maybe I better just stay on the porch.
  21. Finally got all my pics resized. Here are the links http://www.bigmacktr...ck-show-part-1/ http://www.bigmacktr...ck-show-part-2/
