  1. I will be driving to Raleigh, NC to attend a business conference. Whomever attends, please take lots of pictures and post them for us to view.
  2. I would be willing to contribute to the site but as a bonus...how about a special BMT decal sent to paying members? Other sites have a decal that is sent to paying members. Just a suggestion.
  3. I talked to a friend that retired from the Mack Engineering Center. Here is what he had to say about these "interplant" trucks...All the trucks in the Interplant Fleet had frequent powertrain changes. That was one of the primary justifications for the fleet; it allowed in-house "field testing" of powertrain and chassis components. As new products were developed, they were installed in these trucks for in-service performance, durability, oil consumption, and fuel economy. It would be nice to have this truck because of its history. The rear tires look like new and matched. Even the paint on the rims look new. Perhaps the ones in the picture do not go with the truck. If that is the case, the seller should mention that in the listing. Maybe he means "needs front tires"?
  4. The 4V engine was just going into production in 1985 (if I remember correctly). If this is indeed a 4V engine, it could be an experimental engine. My guess is Mack was doing some component evaluations and changed the transmission (and other things) a time or two. Also, isn't a T2090 an overdrive? The listing states "direct". I found another shift pattern for the T2090 in the MH manual and it shows an overdrive ratio. T2090.pdf
  5. Congrats Rob! I hope the new born is healthy. You need to give the baby a BULLDOG pacifier but a truck in his/her honor would bring a tear to mama's eyes.
  6. My guess is $6000 and yes it will likely go outside of the USA.
  7. Sorry my mistake. I missed the red button on the side. There are four (4) air lines which I think means the red button is/was functional. Perhaps the original build had a 13 or 18 speed installed. Mack used their company trucks for testing. I will have the dealer pull-up the build specs.
  8. Why did you have to post this? I want it but mama will be calling Rob's mama for training! Pray for me!
  9. Prefer black, antisail, and antispray (whiskers).
  10. Hi Greg! Is she available to polish my truck?
  11. I have a basic Bostrom T915 in my truck. I think all the seat manufacturers use the same mounting bolt pattern. I may be wrong (will not be the first nor last time).
  12. Barry - thanks for all you do for this forum. The stainless was difficult to read on my monitor. I went back to blue. Of course I am partial to blue.
  13. I don't even want the hear about the GB! What is really sad about this is these girls (if you want to call them that) are real!
  14. Another nice vid! Thanks! What no scantily clad females or Rob's Poster Babes riding on the back? What a waste of a flat bed!
  15. Thanks for the video greg! enjoyed the ride. I see you pegged the speedo at 70, way to go!
  16. I just lost my appetite (and breakfast)!
  17. Do the girls come with the trucks? The trucks are probably cheaper to maintain than the girls.
  18. Send your VIN to the Mack Museum and they will tell you all about your truck. As many on here will tell you, post some pictures of your truck. Welcome and good luck in your restoration!
  19. The fuel sipping ad that I remember was the bulldog with a wine glass filled with diesel fuel.
  20. I always thought the Generals were nice looking trucks. Thanks for posting the picture.
  21. Shoes? I never noticed! Killer B looks awesome. Love the paint scheme.
  22. I asked one of the ladies inside the Customer Center about the truck and she just said "watch for an announcement".
  23. If you have a bill of sale you should not need to worry about the DOT stuff. Make sure you have insurance before you start home. And as Mike said "drive it like you stole it!"
