  1. Bob? I sent you an email (2 times) via Yahooy several weeks ago with prints for the seat brackets and seat information. I never heard from you.
  2. I plan to be there with my MH. That is if I get the alternator and belts replaced....and it does not squeal.
  3. No issues with NEW CONTENT on my computer.
  4. QF - The MH currently has Mack branded belts and that is what I plan to install. Thanks!
  5. Update on the alternator issue. I checked on reman alternators and the cost is only a "few" dollars less than a new Delco which has a (1) year warranty versus a 30 or 90 days on reman. My alternator is a 22SI 145A and Watt has a 24SI 160A. The 24SI has dual internal cooling fans, otherwise they are the same (J mount, etc.). Unless someone states otherwise, 24SI it is. I can eventually have my old 22SI rebuilt and keep as a spare. The saga continues...... New alternator and belts and hopefully the squealing will be eliminated. If not, perhaps there is a mouse or two caught somewhere.
  6. I completed the label on Sunday. The fabric marker "bleeds" some but is still legible. I previously used a Sharpie Permanent Marker but it faded. I will give the fabric pen a try and see what happens. BTW, I am using the white label from JJKeller that has a clear laminate cover to protect the information. The old label is the same and there are no issues with label integrity, just fading.
  7. Thanks everyone for the comments. I removed the alternator on Saturday and will be going to the rebuilder on Monday. Hopefully I will have it back on Tuesday. It is getting "crunch time" for Macungie. I know, I should have checked it when I returned from York. Hind sight is 20/20 as they say. Just been busy with the house in OH and farm property in PA. Seems there is less time to do stuff since I retired.
  8. Belts look okay but I will likely put new belts on while it is down. BTW, the belts were cool to touch. I figure if they were slipping, they would be warm. However the pulley on the alternator was very warm. Which leads me to believe the bearing is bad.
  9. Nice pics/trucks. And where is the pic of the BMT group?
  10. Nice find. Always liked the 100/200 series style. As Tim M mentioned, some have a tendency to jump out of gear. Where are you located?
  11. Got into a can of worms today. I was able to determine how to adjust the tension on the A/C belt (4 bolts holding the compressor and 2 jack bolts). Anyway, after tightening the belt (was not that loose), I still had a squeal at high rpm so I was able to stand in front of the grille and listen as it continued to squeal. The noise was coming more from the driver's side (alternator side). So I checked the belts and they seemed loose. I was able to get the alternator belts tightened but now the squeal was constant and louder when I turned on the A/C. Next I loosened the belts slightly and still squealing constantly. Now I am thinking alternator bearing. When the A/C is energized, it puts a load on the alternator (is my thinking correct?). I removed the alternator but no side motion in the shaft. Anyway I am a going to have it rebuilt. I hope this will eliminate the squeal. Any thoughts?
  12. Thanks for the weekly pics. As for the big a$$ girl....if someone told her to haul a$$, she would have to make two (2) trips!
  13. No cab shocks, sorry. Take a look at the MH parts and make me an offer.
  14. Bought a fabric ink marker tonight at a local Arts and Crafts store. I will report back in a year. Thanks again for the suggestions.
  15. Nice! I am jealous. Don't see many single axle Rs.
  16. Unpainted or primered. Some of them look new (old and dirty but new).
  17. Denny, This is for my trailer and there are no compartment doors. Originally the label was on the left front side near the cereal number plate. I was advised to put it there so it is easily visible and hopefully discourage any DOT issues. That is where I placed it last year and it faded.
  18. interesting information. Can you scan it and then post it in the Wiki section? Thanks!
  19. Typewriter? What is a typewriter? I don't remember where my old portable is located or even if it still works. All, Thanks for the suggestions! I will try a laundry marker (Sharpie Rub-A-Dub) or livestock marking pen (should be able to find it at TSC).
  20. Try this place. They may be able to match. http://www.restorationspecialties.com/
  21. I have a new annual inspection label to mark and install on my trailer. Last year I used a Sharpie Permanent Marker and the markings faded and are barely legible. The label states "use an indelible, permanent ink marker, pen, or pencil that will not fade in direct sunlight." What can I use that will not fade? Thanks!
  22. Plan is to arrive after lunch on Thursday. I will send you a PM with my cell phone number. As for twisted sister...mike69mackman and I have first dibs on "red".
  23. Raise is correct. The cab should return under its own weight when you move the lever to LOWER. The only time you need to pump to lower is if you go "over center" (cab will be almost flat on its windshield). If it is like my MH, the interlock is automatic. There should be a safety bar (mine is on same side as the pump). NEVER work under the cab without the safety bar in place. As a secondary precaution, use a 4x4 from the cab to the floor. Again, this is on my MH. The MC may be different.
  24. Perhaps this should be Swiffer's theme song.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDxVJ471hyg
  25. I "moved" a few parts at York (thanks to those who stopped by) but still have many left to sell. Most of the F parts are gone but I still have early R "X" style window regulators, glass, and complete inside door panels (these will also fit U/F). Also E6 injection pump (use for core or spare, complete but do not know the condition), NOS E6-4V rocker cover, PTO pump, water pump, fuel tank supports, exhaust manifolds, blower motors, and other parts that will fit various Macks. A few MH parts: LH rear grab handle, early step inserts, and a NOS early step that mounts under the air tank. All of these parts came from a Mack fleet that closed their doors. Most are used but some are NOS. I do not have prices on these parts so I am open to offers. This will be the last trip/show with these parts. After Macungie the parts will "disappear".
