  1. Took some pics of the evidence. The first is the chewed wires, second is location into the cab, and third is a closeup of the entrance. Stuck my finger in the grommet and I can feel the connector. Don't have time today but tomorrow I will tilt the cab and try to fish the harness/connector thru the grommet.
  2. Go to the message and at the bottom right will be a DELETE button.
  3. The green one is owned by Dave Igou. He had an opportunity to buy it back after he sold it. Dave painted the frame red.
  4. If it has an "electronic" pedal, it has an ECM. EM7 not EN7. M - maxidyne.
  5. Vlad, EXCELLENT!!!!!
  6. Paul, I find it hard to believe the wires "just broke". Seems strange that two (2) of them are chewed off. I remember someone mentioned earilier about entrance into the cab on the right side. I am reluctant to drive it any distance for fear I might get stopped by the DOT. I want to try and locate the connector before I put it in winter storage. BTW, thanks Ron...I knew you might know where the wiring connector is located. Today I started to remove all the stuff from the side compartments putting it into plastic tubs and bags. No evidence of mice but the damage has been done. I will be restocking the cab with moth balls, cab fresh, sticky traps, spring traps, and mouse bait. The MH goes into storage later this month. Changed the oil/filter in the 98 GTP and put it in storage (restocked with moth balls and cab fresh). No problems previously (except nest in air filter box) but I am not taking a chance.
  7. Tom, Thanks for the pics and info. Now you have me thinking I should take some pics of the home area (old businesses, landmarks, etc.) before they are gone. The house inwhich I was born burned (arson) several years ago. Should of......
  8. The ATHS National show is May 28-30, 2015 at the York Expo Center. I talked to several guys at Gerhart's that said they are planning to attend. I am going to make hotel reservations SOON before the nearby ones get full. Has anyone investigated hotels or made reservations?
  9. Leversole and I were reviewing the wiring skizmatic for my MH at Gerhart's (while watching the wimmin trucks drive in). The RH headlamp wiring harness has a connector on the end opposite the headlamps. Previously I traced the harness and it goes into the cab floor on the right front of the dog house. I pulled the passenger kick panel and did not see anything. I did not tilt the cab to investigate further. Does anyone know if the connector is accessed thru the inside or outside? If on the inside, where and how? I consulted the all-powerful and all-knowing 39BabyMack and he showed a "nobody home" look. If I can get to the connector perhaps I can splice the wires and seal with heat shrink. Barry located two (2) NOS harnesses that I am going to purchase for my inventory (and maybe mouse insurance). Thanks for any help on this issue.
  10. Doug, Did I sleep thru the "noon horn blow" on Saturday?
  11. hey hey take it easy on this old man! Leslie....where is the pic I took of you in front of the food line? Hmmmm! BTW, intercourse is between blue ball and paradise.
  12. OD can photochop Barry's mug and the BMT banner!
  13. Take used oil samples and have them analyzed. Check for contaminants - water and fuel in addition to wear metals, viscosity, and TBN/TAN. I do not change my "low use" vehicles every year.
  14. Some people have too much time and money!
  15. Leslie, Can't shoot em if you can't see em. I need a putty cat. The sticky traps and spring trap (with peanut butter) aren't working. I am so POed I could spit nails!
  16. Thanks for the update Leslie. Latest forecast is thunder storms Friday night into Saturday morning then partly cloudy, high of 64. It will be nippley! I will be there but without the MH. Hope my little red HHR does not get stuck.
  17. The saga continues only getting more serious. Been busy the past several weeks and loaded the MH last night (Wednesday). Early this morning I did my "pretrip" and noticed the RH headlights were not working. Long story short...the summ beaches chewed at least two (2) wires where they go into the cab. Did some looking and could not determine where they are in the cab. So, I will not be bringing the MH/trailer to Gerhart's. I instead moved all my "stuff" from the MH to my little red wagon...Chevy HHR. I am in Akron at the hotel and will be at Gerhart's on Friday afternoon. Hopefully Ron or others will be familiar with the headlight wiring and where to locate it inside the cab. I need help with not only the wiring but how to ELIMINATE the varmints and keep them OUT! When I get back to the farm...I am declaring WAR ON MICE!!!!!
  18. Mike, Understood what you meant. BTW, you can edit your messages with the edit button.
  19. Tom, Thanks for posting Old Bill's bibliography. I glanced thru most of it but I stopped and read the last section about his wife's Alzheimer's. I wish Old Bill and his wife the best. It really hit home as my mother (she just turned 90) is developing dementia (has been since spring), is losing control of body functions, and needs assistance for almost everything (even eating). Very depressing. My mother has not been home to the farm in almost three (3) years. After all this time I fully expect to open the door and see her. I have overcome some of the depression of her not being at the farm and I still feel sad when I am at the farm by myself. I visit her every day at the nursing home when I am at the farm. I too am afraid to answer the phone when the nursing home calls. No one should experience the effects of dementia and Alzheimer's. My prayers go out to anyone experiencing this nasty "disease".
  20. I am/was planning to stop off in Carlisle on Thursday morning on my way to Lititz. I contacted Carlisle Events several weeks ago asking where I can park my MH and trailer. I received no response so I sent another note this morning. Their reply was to park at the truck stop about 3 miles away (north of the PA Turnpike on Route 11). I again asked them if there was anything closer. They then replied saying I could park at a lot on Route 34 and pay $20. I asked them for directions and clearance for the rig (13'). The last response was my requests were too complicated. I am thinking they do not want someone in a semi to attend the show. So, is anyone familiar with the area and Route 34 to help with directions and know of any clearance issues? Otherwise I will sleep in on Thursday morning and drive directly to Lititz without stopping in Carlisle.
  21. Ron, Thanks for posting the video. Was this all the trucks? If so, there did not seem to be a many on the track as in previous years. Previously it was a "stop and start crawl" parade.
  22. Congrats Leslie! Does that mean there will be more food for me at Gerhart's?
  23. The Dart was just across the drive from the food building and in front of the tractors. There was a canopy where they were selling raffle tickets (1=$5 and 6=$20).
  24. This was my third year in attendance (but without the MH). Always enjoy spending time at the museum, talking with all the people (both Museum and enthusiasts), and looking at the trucks. Thanks to all who are involved with Trucktoberfest. However I was not "excited" about the way the lunch was handled. Looking forward to 2015 and beyond. Leon and Rene are here from the Netherlands. They will be at Gerhart's on Saturday.
  25. Tom, Thanks for all the pics. Very nice! Many of the vehicles were already there on Friday when the wifey and I were there. Did you hear a total count? The TC U was just as nice in person as it is in the pics. Almost makes me want a sidewinder. Also, did you buy tickets for the Dodge Dart GT convertible? I bought six (6) tickets....drawing is October 19th.
