  1. Denny, If you get back there, pick up a card for me and I will reimburse you at Gerhart's. TIA
  2. I think some of these places get their "jollies" by the interest but have no intention of selling to a private individual.
  3. No mice in the heater box under the passenger seat. I looked there to make sure there was no nest. I did see a few turds inside the center dash when I replaced the valve. I use a regular trap with peanut butter in the farmhouse basement. Worth a try. Wonder how the combination of moth balls, cab fresh pine, Downy, and peanut butter smells?
  4. Checked this moring...so far no varmits in the traps. I bought some Downy sheets and spread generously about the cab, sleeper, and trailer. Now it smells like a whore house at Christmas. And don't ask me how I know how one smells. BTW, I learned a chipmonk/ground squirrel can't swim. One was in the down spout this morning. I blocked it off and poured water down the spout.
  5. If it's only 30 miles...worth a drive with the General.
  6. Reminds me...back in the day when I worked at the CAT house in Pioria...some of the secretaries knew how to type...the rest were just huntin' peckers.
  7. Nice pics and thanks for posting. I like the "come as you are"...fits my MH perfect.
  8. Nice pic of the FWD but sad story about the steel mill and American manufacturing. I drove thru Pittsburgh the other day and nothing left of "big steel" in Steel Town. Sorry state of affairs.
  9. I bought four (4) sticky boards and put one in each compartment (one on top of the last nest), one behind the driver's seat, and one on the passenger floor. I will also get some dryer sheets and place inside in addition to the cab fresh and the moth balls are going back in too. As for the mattress....maybe I should contact Martin's Pastry.....but wait....maybe....just maybe.....(see pic).
  10. They're back!!!! I was replacing the tractor parking valve this morning and noticed the damn mice were chewing on some wipes under the driver's seat. I checked the storage compartments and dang if the bastards didn't build a BIG f'in' nest (about the size of a cantalope) within six (6) inches of the cab fresh. The nest looks like fiberglas insulation in addition to the blue wipes. I did not see any evidence of mice in the trailer but I am quite sure they will find a way inside the trailer. What is interesting, I did not see any damage to the mattress. Hmmm! What else can I do short of some lead pellets (but I have to see the little varmits first)? Moth balls and cab fresh are not working. I was told Downy sheets might work. HELP! Note to Ron: so much for mice taking care of the spiders. I think they are living in sin. And it is a conspiracy.
  11. Not much details on the website. The fire truck has 24K+ miles. Wish Mack fire trucks sold for low bucks.
  12. Doug who?!?!?!
  13. I will check the auction website. By coming east, I meant revenue hauling trucks, tractors, etc.
  14. Any misfire? Color of smoke..white or black? A couple things come to mind...timing and transfer pump check valve.
  15. Mike, Nice! Do you plan to make any trips east out our way? What do you know about the red Chebbie tiltcab?
  16. Mine is hopefully lying on the counter in OH. Mike has my vote!
  17. We are a sensitive group!
  18. Welcome! What BDT said ^^^^^
  19. Saw this on eBay...a Mack MR panel truck. Interesting. Never heard of nor saw one. Is this correct that Mack made a model MR? Are any still in existance? Looks like it is on an ED chassis. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1941-Mack-MR-Milk-Truck-Factory-Photo-Schlicher-Printer-u8785-TS8NRN-/350864999417?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51b12f03f9
  20. Mike, I am out of likes already this morning but I LIKE! Thanks for posting.
  21. Staxx, Good looking truck. Good luck!
  22. Doug, You can count me in (surprise surprise). Just have the chef burn a few dogs (hot dogs that is) for me. See ya there! And thanks for all your hard work.
  23. Doug, Just leave us your credit card and we will give you a full report on Saturday.
  24. I wish I still had my 1973 Duster 340, 1970 Superbird 440+6, 1970 Road Runner 383, 1975 Chrysler Cordoba 360, 1973 Cuda 340, 1976 Volare 360, 1975 Monza 2+2 262, 1974 Road Runner GTX 440, 2-1979 Mustang Pace Cars 5.0L, and the list goes on. I often said "I wish I had the money I have now (well 3 or 4 years ago) and it was 1970.....I would have a STABLE of cars and trucks".
