  1. Nice truck. If only I had the money. Sure hope it goes to a good home (in USA or Canada).
  2. I was there with Tom 2324ABMackAltoona on Friday. Not much "big" stuff. My first time attending and will likely be my last. ATHS Baltimore/Washington D.C. chapter had several nice trucks. I think Tom took some pics.
  3. Happy Birthday
  4. I use my trusty 223. Put another one in "ground pig heaven" last night. 10 or 11 so far this year. BTW Tom...nice pics except for the ground pig.
  5. Can't answer your questions but if you had water contamination....I would run the fluid until warm and drain it. Then refill and sample after 10K miles and again at 50K.
  6. Made it to and from Watt's show today with no critter issues. But now all I smell are Christmas trees. P.S. I am sure Captain Barry will be posting pics from the show.
  7. A group is meeting for breakfast at 7:30a at the Blue Ridge Restaurant (just west of Blairsville).
  8. Tom (2324ABMackAltoona) and I went to Carlisle today. Both of us were disappointed. Very few big trucks but mostly pickups. Some Chevy/GMC, Ford, and late model Dodge parts. Lots of Diesel aftermarket crap and big tires/wheels for the "wanta be a big trucker" crowd. I will not be attending again.
  9. Moi?
  10. Located the Fresh Cab at TSC. It is on sale $11.99 per box (regular price $14.99). I bought four (4) boxes and put one (1) box (4 packets) in the MH tonight. Now instead of smelling like a cedar closet, it smells like a Christmas tree. Active ingredient is 2.0% Balsam oil. I need to remove the mattress and check for damage. I hope the paper towels kept the dang varmits busy and away from the mattress. Thanks for the info.
  11. Are you sure it is "food"?
  12. Where can I buy Fresh Cab?
  13. Perhaps a MH with a purrin' kitty cat engine? I'll take a 3408. Maybe I need a pu$$y in the sleeper.... There are enough coyotes, foxes (4 legged), and buzzards around. You would think one or more would take care of the mice. They take care of the wabbits and kittens. When I shoot a ground pig, it is gone the next morning.....something had a good midnight snack.
  14. Today I started "spit shining" the MH in preparation for Watt's show on Saturday. I opened the passenger side compartment and sunny beach! Damn mouse/mice shredded a roll of paper towels. So I ventured to the driver's side and sunny beach....same thing! They even started on the roll of paper towels on the dog house and the box of tissues. DAMN!!!!! So I spent the morning cleaning the crap out of the truck. I never did see a mouse but there were lots of mouse turds around. So I put all the paper towels in a plastic bag which hopefully will deter the varmits. I was just in the truck last week and everything was okay. Damn varmit must have moved in during the weekend and did not lose any time making nests. To add insult to injury....I have boxes of moth balls everywhere and have for the past several years. I heard they will keep the critters away. Well I must have a moth ball resistant mouse. So MH has a new meaning.....MOUSE HOUSE! I just hope one of the critters doesn't decide to show its face on the drive to Watt's. Or I may have stained shorts and a potential wrecked MH. BTW, did I tell you I HATE mice and ground hogs and squirrels and chipmonks and snakes and rabbits and rats?
  15. Party at Mike's house....but he does not have a Mack (or FWD) that we can vandalize cruise with TK wimmin. Maybe Yardo will show up with his FWD loaded with TK NITs. Then we can get the horses drunk and ride.....sorry I mean ride the horses and get the wimmin drunk. BTW, have an enjoyable vacation and be safe.
  16. I see a new Mack in Green Dash's future.
  17. I am too lazy to research but I have a question... What is the difference in a Diamond T versus a Diamond REO? A short explanation is acceptable.
  18. Finished product...used the old grille sections and bolts.
  19. Looks good...none of that fake woodgrain stuff.
  20. I heard the same story about the tire....ferris wheel (at a World's Fair?). I think it was originally a Goodyear tire and also it counted the number of cars built in Detroit since January 1 of that year.
  21. Hey Yardo....are you paying attention....used a Mack
  22. Mike, Powder coat would definitely be best but I did not want to remove the CAC. Perhaps next time when I do a frame-up restoration.
  23. I Scotch-Brited and painted the CAC last week. Where the black paint flaked off the CAC showed light corrosion (from road salt). I did the best I could to get the "white powder" off before repainting. I am happy with the end result. The BBQ Rustyoleum paint matched perfectly. Some pics after Scotch-Brite, before painting, and after. Going to reinstall the grille this week before Watt's show. I will post final pic when completed.
  24. Upon further review...it definitely looks like it is "dog tracking".
  25. Check eBay or Mack dealer for manual. If the dash is the same as the CX series, the dash light dimmer is on the top row It is the one with a lever rather than a toggle (headlamp and clearance lamp switches are to the left).
