Keep this in mind...just because it shows WIX, Baldwin, etc. on the "can" does not necessarily mean the filter was manufactured in their facility. Filter manufacturers often produce filters for other filter companies. During my professional career I have toured several filter OEs and it was interesting to see their competitor's filters going down the assembly line. It depends on filter substrate, quantity, process, etc. I always buy OE branded filters (Mack, Delco, MOPAR, JD, CAT, etc.) since they likely have a quality control process to keep the filter manufacturers "honest". Otherwise it is like the "fox watching the hen house". I am not saying the filters are defective but why take the chance. The engine OEs have primary suppliers and secondary suppliers.

I just bought filters at Watt's. I bought them separately since I do not use a coolant "filter". The secondary fuel filter (pn 25501624) is green. The oil filters are black (pn 21939298). Barry said the primary fuel filter w/water separator (old pn 483GB465 new pn 25505088) is on back order. Not sure if it will be red or ??? The Centrimax II rotor kit has 57GC2134A on the box and 85136709 on the label. The Centrimax II filter shows pn 236GB244B on the canister. Ron - I had one hell of a time removing the spin on fuel and oil filters. I thought they were seized. What do you think is the reason for the difference in how easily the filters are removed?

I will plan to attend the "inspection" at the nunnery. That is if I can get my chauffer, mike69mackman, to stop too (which should not be a difficult task). Perhaps one of these years he and I will not "fight" over the same "nun". P.S. Make sure we do not get a nun that is PG!

Bringing this thread to the top. Dates are June 16-17. I am planning to arrive after lunch on Thursday (15th). Many show up on Thursday and most leave on Saturday afternoon. Friday night is the "family reunion" foodfest. Reserve your wrist bands so you can get in the line early. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and not be "mudcungie". Safe travels. My MH on an advertising banner...where is my royalty check?! Do you have a pic of the banner? I saw you in the building on Friday but you were talking to several other people. I passed your truck several times during the show but never saw you sitting there. Glad I was able to meet you on Thursday. Keep "plugging away" at your weight loss and improving health.

Greg, Thanks! Makes sense about a larger pan. Do you know if the same pan fits both the E6 and E7? I do not remember specifics about the oil pan when the E7 was developed. I looked in my parts book and it lists only one pan. I checked some other E7 spec sheets and they all show 33.5 qts. capacity. Perhaps it was a dealer installed item or installed by Martin's.

I just changed the oil and filters (2 spin-on + 1 centri-max) in my 1992 EM7-300. The spec sheet shows 33.5 qts including filters but I added 13+ gallons (52 qts) to get to the FULL mark on the dipstick. I use Shell Rotella Triple-Protection/T4 15W-40. Mack recommends SAE50 synthetic lube in the transmission and either 75W-90 or 80W-90 synthetic in the axles. How big is the box and how heavy? If Freightrain is not going to Des Moines, I could transport it to Canton. That is if I make it to Des Moines safe and sound. Larry lives just a few miles from me.

No issues logging on to BMT. I am using WIN8.1 and IE11. FWIW, I am just tired of seeing all the political BS and personal bashing. I was at MATS and saw Maint1 (Dave), Doug Maney, and Rene (Netherlands). Never made it outside to see the show trucks. Most of the show trucks are a POS in my opinion, easy to "modify" a truck but DIFFICULT to keep in original condition. Lots of nice older trucks displayed throughout the show compliments of ATHS members.

The 2017 show will be held on Friday and Saturday July 21 & 22 at the Morrison's Cove Memorial Park in Martinsburg, PA. This year's show will be held in conjunction with the Martinsburg Volunteer Fire Department's 125th Anniversary celebration. The MVFD will be selling ox roast sandwiches and other food/drink items starting each day at 11am. They will provide entertainment each night starting at 7pm. They will be selling a pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday 7am-10am. Plan to attend and support a local organization. A group of guys from south central PA are planning to convoy to the national ATHS show in Des Moines, IA. The plan is to leave the Altoona, PA area on Tuesday morning May 23rd (O dark 30) via Route 22. Quick stop at Watt's to meet Tim Hoover and then on to New Stanton. Travel west on I-70 and stop at London, OH (exit 79). Then continue west on I-70 to Indy then I-74 west to Danville, IL where we will overnight at the Sleep Inn. On Wednesday we will continue west on I-74 to I-80 west to Des Moines. We will leave Des Moines on Sunday morning (28th) and return on the same route with stop for the night at Richmond, IN (New Paris OH Fairfield Inn). Then return home on Monday. I will be leaving Tuesday morning from my residence in Canton, OH and driving I-77 south to Route 30 west to I-71 and south to Columbus OH. I will be meeting the PA group in London, OH (exit 79). If anyone is interested in being part of our convoy, send an email to rollhauler at outlook dot com and put "Des Moines Convoy" in the subject. I saw in WoT another group is planning a convoy from MD via Route 30. Route 30 would be an interesting route but will take forever with mountains, two lane highway, and small towns.

I visited the local (10 miles away) used truck dealer and measured several Rs and RDs. The door width varies from 31-3/4" near the bottom to 32" near the middle. The overall height is about 53-1/2". Distance from the lower mirror bracket to bottom of the door is about 29-1/2". The depth is about 5" inside to outside door skin (4-7/8" from inside the skin). I hope this answers your question. It is too damn bad you cannot get a straight answer. I was told and have seen many times, there are no dumb questions. But I see there are some knowledgeable with smart ass answers and getting tired of seeing the BS! As the saying goes "everyone likes a little but no one likes a smart ass." I will be out and about this week and will find an R and measure the door. Perhaps it would be easier for you to find a R and measure it yourself considering the BS replies you are getting. Is there any other information you want concerning the door?

Any Mack dealer or truck parts outlet should be able to match your existing strap. I don't think there is anything "special" about the Mack tank straps.
