  1. I come here because I don't have anything else to do..... I really need to find something productive to do with my time. Seriously I joined to learn more about my MH and locate needed parts. I met many nice people, well for the most part, and learned lots about Macks. BMT is the best place to hang out on the interweb. I spend 90% of my "interweb forum" time here on BMT. I never expected to develop friendships with many of the BMT members and to be active in attending truck shows. I look forward to the shows to meet friends and make new friends. I am not much help on a lot of things but help as best I can when I can. I belong to the Honda Nighthawk forum and several farm/tractor forums but rarely post. Barry let's us have a lot of freedom and to "police ourselves". He steps in when needed. Great job Barry!

  3. Can they re-chrome existing chrome plated plastic? See my post below: http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/34158-mh-grille-nos-parts/
  4. DCW....that is heavy stuff.....you need to lay off that "cough medicine"... I belong to a motorcycle forum (not H-D) and they are kinda strict but they do have great emoticons.
  5. Seen this before....no truer words.....
  6. The coolant conditioner filter, housing, and tube were removed from my EM7. The fleet used red coolant. Are you saying I do not need a coolant conditioner? What is your recommendation....keep it as is or reinstall the coolant conditioner filter? Do I still need to check the additives with a strip? Thanks!
  7. Flu no fun....take care of yourself and family.....get well soon!
  8. Doug, Your secret is safe wth me! BTW, do you think you could arrange for one of these "contraptions" for Macungie, Gerhart's, and/or Trucktoberfest?
  9. UPDATE on grille parts from Mack contact..... The new design is really not a "new design" but the grille sections are ALL BLACK with NO CHROME. So that is why you need to buy all six (6) sections if you want them to match. Wonderful....just f'in wonderful!! So I am back to ground zero. Does anyone know of a business that can "re-chrome" plastic parts? Also, if any Mack dealers are on BMT, do you have any old stock of 6MF530M and 6MF531M sections (NIB - new in box)? HELP!
  10. Hey Al, Saw this on Youtube. You have some competition.....you need a babe......enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HidbWmNG8Zo P.S. Looks like Doug Maney on the bike.....

  15. Heck the Blue Hair Brigade want those 19yo boys. An old fart just can't win!
  16. The 2005 and 2006 Jeep Liberty offered a VM 4 cylinder turbo Diesel engine. The EGR was an issue with those engines. I owned a 2006 and loved it, about 30mpg highway. Traded it at 90K+ before the warranty ran out - but never had any issues.
  17. Desperately needed...NOS upper LH and RH grille sections for my MH. The original Mack part numbers are 6MF530M and 6MF531M. I been told by my dealer these are superceded by a "new design" and must order all six (6) sections ($1200+). I have the other four (4) sections (NOS) and need these to "match". Any help locating and obtaining these parts is GREATLY appreciated. TIA, Ken

    WHY?

And you wonder why I only watch The Weather Channel? But it is getting like other channels with all the other BS "stories". Jim Cantore is a real hot dog and sensationalist. Just give me the dang local weather every eight (8) minutes and the overall weather forecast...oh and lots of good lookin' wimmin (wearing short dresses WITH HOSE).
  19. Nice truck sitting in the background.
  20. -11F (-34 wind chill) this morning....BRRRRRR! Some snow plow humor.... On a bitterly cold winter morning a husband and his wife in Sioux Falls were listening to the radio during breakfast. They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so the Snow plows can get through." So the good wife went out and moved her car. A week later while they are eating breakfast again, the radio announcer said, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the snow plows can get through." The good wife went out and moved her car again. The next week they are again having breakfast, when the radio announcer says, "We are expecting 12 to 14 inches of snow today. You must park...." then the electric power went out. The good wife was very upset, and with a worried look on her face she said, "I don't know what to do. Which side of the street do I need to park on so the snow plows can get through?" Then with the love and understanding in his voice that all men who are married to blondes exhibit, the husband replied, "Why don't you just leave the car in the garage this time."
  21. Another TRUE American gone....RIP
  22. Or at least an oil and filter change! Issue I have is after an hour or so I loose the connection then when it reconnects my evil twin "farmer521" shows up and "farmer52" is inactive. After some time "farmer52" leaves. Did this on Saturday and Sunday nights. Hmmm! I open BMT in another window so I can navigate around the site without leaving the CHAT room. Sometimes I go to the MEMBER area to identify chat users. Some suggestions for improvement... 1. Ability to copy/paste text 2. Ability to post links 3. Ability to post pics
  23. Welcome
  24. Mark - Nice! Who dusts them?
