  1. Tom, Thanks for the info.
  2. Welcome to BMT.
  3. yea except your chest fell, now you have dunlaps disease...
  4. Thanks for the reply. I will do some investigation and determine if the connectors are on the main harness. I would venture to guess they will be along the frame rail.
  5. Spent many years running test oil in and doing parts inspections on all makes of engines including DDC S60. Not a bad engine but not in a MH. But to each their own.
  6. That is just WRONG!
  7. JT - thanks for the update. Looking forward to seeing at Macungie in 2014. Keep us posted on your progress (don't forget to document with pics).
  8. Nice but it does not have a "bulldog" or MACK on the hood.
  9. Another Obummer screw-up..... ASA Cash for Clunders Failed.pdf
  10. Drove by Adelman's today and saw this truck for sale. Looks like a real beast. http://www.adelmans.com/rm688-mack-vspreader
  11. Good to hear you are okay. I was viewing pics of Washington posted on the Peoria Journal Star (newspaper) website. In one pic I think I see my one friend's house. If so, it is still standing. Still too early to know if him and others are okay. Strange thing about tornados. One side of the street is flattened and the other untouched.
  12. Not to highjack this thread but is this true for older vehicles (specifically 1992 MH)?
  13. Sounds like a "used car salesman". My knee jerk reaction is to run in the opposite direction and don't look back. Now if the sales person is Bea (in the white top) I would at least ask for a "test drive". (that reminds me of a true story....some other time)
  14. I have not dealt with Tucker Equipment but have met Braydon. He seems like an honest person. I think he is a BMT member. Give him a call, explain your situation, and ask him for an honest description and detailed pics of the vehicle. My Canton residence is about an hour west of Lisbon. If I am in OH, I would stop and look for you. I think he gets the trucks from local operators. Sorry I can't give you a better reply.
  15. Nice ride! Always good to see other MHs.
  16. Things are not looking good for my friends that live in Washingtion, IL. I tried calling last night and "no phone service" (no surprise). And this morning I been searching the internet and found serveral pics. One taken on my one friend's street (area leveled) and another pic just a block away from my other friend. I sent emails just in case one has a Smartphone. I am sure electricity, gas, and phone are all down! Anxiously awaiting a response to know they are okay. I lived in Illinois for 10 years and observed a few tornados "at a distance". I can't imagine loosing your house and personal goods in a few seconds. Personal goods can be replaced, lives cannot. I hope and pray for the best!
  17. Out of likes but I agree 100%! One can tell alot about a vehicle by looking at the interior.
  18. Sad but true.
  19. I just heard about the tornado. I been trying to find out more info. Some very good friends of ours live in the area hit by the tornado (Washington, IL). That area is flat as a pancake. I read at least two (2) fatalities so far. Sad day and hope there are no more. Rob is west near Farmington...not to say he was not hit. Hope everyone is okay. UPDATE: I tried calling Washington and the phone service is down. I suppose there is no electricity either.
  20. oh no! Barry - have you ever ex-communicated or exorcised a BMT member? Seriously mhe9 - hope the truck is a good one.
  21. Would like to see a H mixer up close and personal, what a brute. Like the Mayflower Cruiseliner.
  22. Mark, thanks for the suggestion. I have on my list both Hershey and Carlisle (MOPARs in July) but never seem to find time to attend....maybe 2014. Both are about two (2) hours from the farm. I need to start planning the "show circuit" and marking the calendar for 2014.
  23. Pre-electric farm tractors were "hand crank" started. And many with electric start could be hand cranked. The crank provisions ended in the early 1960s. I remember my dad cranking our AC WC. My dad "lost" the original crank for the WC but a WD (different shape) worked. I would like to find an original crank for the WC. My grandfather's WD and C both had provisions for cranks although they were equipped with electric start. My Cockshutt 570 Super Diesel has an opening and claw on the front engine damper. I should would not like to hand start that beast. BTW, I never hand cranked an engine and hope I never have to. Early JD two-cylinders had a compression release on each cylinder. And they did not use a crank. You grabbed the flywheel (exposed) and used it to start engine. Some vids...in the first video at 0:06 and 0:38 is opening the compression release. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIjNH2ghdTA Another JD hand start video. This tractor does not have a compression release. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zD-WQOoVeek
