  1. Ours have a "denoxtronic" system, whatever that is. Maybe bosch? They use an exhaust mounted HCI to create heta for the regen.
  2. 2 other issues this week.
  3. So I do the emissions work at the farm, and as such I tend to do a lot of forced regens and data logging. This is the best heat I've had all week. How about you? What do you look for in a regen before deciding to take a closer look? I'm not a mack mechanic, nor do I have any formal training. It's all been learned I the seat or from whatever I can get my hands on.
  4. It may be rare but at 20yrs old and approaching 1mil, I have 1 more that needs a cam. Can't get them though, N/A from cummins gotta go aftermarket.
  5. We have 5 more identical trucks in the fleet, all 500hp 2001s
  6. Rebuilt the connectors in the head, but it just had an in frame at 750k so we left the heads on. It ate the #5 exhaust follower and sounded awful. Oh and the trans needed a bellhousing gasket, it was pouring oil from the mating surfaces. I had to redrill and thread insert the case for the studs.
  7. What do I do? Everything I guess. Theres currently over 100 registered vehicles but I have 7 2012 CXU613 that have become revolving door problems for me, especially now it's getting cold. As the most computer literate person in house I do all the diagnostics for the farm by bosch ESI truck. Right now it's chasing low regen Temps and low catalyst efficiency causes. Honestly I'm getting to the point of needed better software, or chasing every component related to prove functionality.
  8. Hello everyone, I'm a fleet mechanic for a farm in CT with many Mack trucks, from 80s Rs to New CXUs. I'm mostly the emissions and engine guy in the shop but I'm also responsible to a 87 R611T for plow duty. My grandfather was a long haul driver of a Mack his whole life. Hope to find some cool stories and lots of useful knowledge as well!
