  1. Just think out loud here U undo the backin plate bolts and rotate it a bolt hole or more Jack up axle to hit the axle stops then checking that the "S' cam wont interfere with diff housing speacilly when U try and replace slack adjusters cya

  3. Normally the sender to switch on engine fan is via a temp sender unit in radiator or pipes from engine to radiator some makers wire up the fan clutch to also engage when Air conditioner is on suggest: check AC wiring cya

  7. Th@ reminds me wot FJH sed RE: this question Joe asking is important! older trucks used a Relay on the dynatard system! our mack R maxn out to get some resonable MPH @ 2100RPM the govonor seems to B bouncin in n out so we switch off the EB so it dont burn the relay contacts when flat run n cya

Rob m80 we have Macks on air start th@ hold over 100psi after a month or more other way to check air tank from leakin send mum to town with a movie ticket while she's a way fill the bath with water and submerge the filld air tank n look for a bubble or 2 U may have to sit on the tank to fully submerge the buggr LOL cya

  16. Hose from compressor to 1st tank needs 2 B made of something th@ can withstand heat eg: Copper pipe ....... or ........ stainless steel braded flexible covered hose cya
  17. plumb the compressor up to the 2nd tank .... bypass the 1st tank n C wot happens cya
  18. Rule #1 When driving only use engine brakes when engine is @ operatin temp... by pass the clutch switch by connectin the 2 wires together when u get the EB workin then reconnect to clutch switch n sort out problem ... may B adjustment on the micro switch cya

  21. yahr wot seed sed we have a mack th@ passes a bit of oil down to the 1st tank, the oil n heat carbonizes n clogs up the main pipe th@ restricts the air flow also if U drain all the air tanks n put the shop air in the 1st tank n see n listen to where the air is go n cya

Here in Oz we prefer 'S' cam drum brakes U cannot get anything more simpler it teachs U to drive by not over use n your brakes as U get brake fade as the drums gro bigger when hot down hill max speed what ever gear U can hold the beast in gear on engine brake with may B a little tuch of the brakes cya
