  3. Ok when I get ready to do it I’ll just message u on here I can’t afford to screw it up problem with this aset as you know there are not many at least around here anone of the mechanics even at Mack in Springfield have seen one let alone worked on one so I’m afraid to let them have it. At least the 3 I talked to there had never seen one older E7 mp7 mp8 see alot of those one said they have e7 block but that’s really all he knew
  4. Tried to hunt down that procedure Mack dealers sure won’t turn loose of any info won’t give u part numbers nothin
  5. That’s awesome fellas I’m doin my best to soak up everything you tell me , I was taught to surround myself with folks who knew more than I did and watch and listen . I guess my thing with the Mack’s that’s got me sucked in is it seems people who know a lot about them seem to be far and few between I’m building my shop at home and I’ve made a deal with all the fellas that I haul with every day that no matter what kind of money they’ve got if they can get the parts they can bring it to the house and i’ll do the work. We’ll worry about money later. I know how I’ve struggled, especially going from having money readily available to not so much and I know that a lot of these younger guys that are buying trucks and starting out, don’t have a lot to work with. I’m trying to do my part to give back a little , there are a lot of things that i’m pretty sufficient at and there are others not so much but I don’t have much quit in me. You guys know that if I can’t figure it out there’s somebody out there that knows we’ll find them. I kind of feel like that no matter which way the cards are turnedI’m still gonna come out ahead growing up literally dirt floor poor I don’t have a lot now, but it sure is a long way from that and I still believe in people there are good ones out there appreciate you guys. I’ll be back with another round of questions shortly. I’m sure I got run overhead on this thing for long Rod Main bearings probably wouldn’t hurt.
  6. I’ll tell him to look there as well if u don’t mind me asking what do or did you and fjh do to be as knowledgeable as u are with specifically Mack and what made you choose these trucks over any other if I’m askin too much I understand
  7. Once again you guys are correct crank sensor wires are melted together it’s not working at all good job guys and thank you again
  8. So I fixed the bleeding treadle valve problem just came in from putting 2 new u joints on it wheel seal on pusher axle yesterday brakes are done on three of 4 on drives . And a guy I know backs into me breaks grill headlight assembly and punches big hole in fiberglass hood . Wasn’t a pretty truck to begin with now I look like I went salvage yard and did what I could tossed her together with duct tape and went to work lol one step forward 2 steps back 😑
  9. Oh I have no idea why he replaced them I think he thought it was a fuel issue and doesn’t realize that those things are tough as hell but I told him and he already knows I’m sure that 72lbs of fuel pressure is sufficient that’s what he said he was getting I told him to stop throwing parts at it until I talked to you guys he just doesn’t know much about Mack engines has no way to hook them up and check codes or faults so he’s guessing and knows better than that.
  10. What u mean grenade ? The sobs blow up ?
  11. Brand new fuel pump 6 new epus. Said the hand pump doesn’t build much pressure either just helps it along . This dude is probably one of the best I’ve ever seen with cat motors I mean salty so I know he’s probably gone thru the basics he just doesn’t see many Mack’s oil level will tell him that for sure anything else they said they will crank and crank and it just won’t start but once it does no miss nothin idles smooth
  12. Yes fjh solved trolley brake caused problem. Along with no s cam bushings at all not worn none. So I have a guy that came to me with a 2003 e7 that is hard to start fp at 72 when u finally get it to start 6 new epus new pump if u hand pump it starts faster but still tough any thoughts plse.
  13. Maybe that’s why I can’t keep these damn brakes adjusted.
  14. Say it slow maybe it’ll come in maybe these are the wrong slack adjusters reason I think so maybe the wrong reason but they are on the same side of the slack adjuster on both sides of the truck. Does that make sense? So basically you can get to one pretty easy the other one is in between adjuster and the brake ones on the outside ones on the inside like they’re both on the same side of the slack adjuster that makes sense
