alum. fuel tank also. very solid truck. good candidate to restore or put a dump on. think I can pick it up for low price. and vinny, it has two sticks and no kick stand. gg2 -

just bought a early 80's freightliner and it has a ff941 front axle, what is the rating on this and also wondered if the backing plates and s-cams will fit a 16-20,000 pound Rockwell in a Brockway . sorry don't know what brock axle is. gg2

you can do it without others, I am a one man band and do all my own work and wrenching. keep the money in your pocket and you can pick the jobs you want. just find some one to help when needed. gg2

that 550 is a beast. I have a 450 7.3 with a stick, and that will move a house and make some smoke. grossed over 30k with it and handles it good. no tuner yet. and vinney, you will never know what true diesel power is till you have a ford 7.3

where does your pick up line come off the tank. the tube in the tank could be cracked or broken and that will let you suck air instead of fuel. take the suction line off at the filter and put one into a clean container and see if the truck will run. that will tell you what the problem is. gg2

sorry to here about the problems, is it possible to say who the truck came from, private or business. a 2070 trans should do what you want. I have a 2080 in my dm 690 and does fine, but it is a big jump between 4th and 5th. I think mine has 4.56 ratio rears. good luck gg2
