  1. I use PAI for these primer pumps because the Mack lookup never gets it right or never even shows the hand primer. I believe this is a PAI EPP-3586, Mack number 318GC17A.
  2. I had a Canadian R model from 1990 that I used to look up, and those governors are available should you end up looking for one. Just about everybody has a version, Bendix, Wabco, etc.
  3. That tracks, you're dumping more fuel than needed into the crankcase, so you'd be "using" more fuel than other trucks.
  4. Interesting, the number you gave me is for EPA14 injectors, yet the VIN is an EPA10 engine. Per your VIN, the Six-Pack number I gave is accurate. I'm starting to think someone put the wrong injectors in and caused the issues you're having.
  5. We've had trucks create oil before, and 9 times out of 10 it's the injectors overfueling. I can't confirm that's your issue 100%, but it sounds like that's your issue.
  6. They would be the conical style that started in '07. Mack sells a Six-Pack of injectors that includes the cups, orings, and hold-down screws. They're usually priced to be cheaper than all six individually too. Part number for an EPA10 MP7 should be 85143381.
  7. Readily available! The screen on these is under the oil cooler, it runs down towards the bypass hose I call the cactus. I'll paste a screenshot:
  8. I don't know how necessary it is, someone else will have to chime in, but these ASET motors are really particular and strange IMO, I'd be worried to not put it back in. They're not too expensive from Mack dealers it looks like, but PAI does not have any stock of them. Part number 25099919.
  9. You should be able to, but you will have to pay a fee of some sort to get it (I don't remember how much it is, they don't tell us up front). There's a form they have to fill out and send in, basically confirming you're legit and not trying to slap a new VIN on a stolen truck kind of thing.
  10. Hmm, how can I put my finger on it.....
  11. I asked around last week but never thought to update here, since Cummins bought out Jacobs, they have all of these rebuild kits in their fold now. Willing to bet they have their own number now, and are unavailable from everyone because Cummins gets to hold on to their precious parts and not share.
  12. It really wasn't that long ago that I ordered several Jake overhaul kits for E7's, and now it's been marked obsolete for E6 all the way up to E7 ETECH. PAI doesn't carry them either, so I have no clue where to get them from now.
  13. There usually is, and them leaking isn't too uncommon. Our shop calls them the "oil pan bungs." Below is the lookup for a Volvo D13 (same as an MP8) I had open already, the orings are the highlighted numbers.
  14. Several drivers at my last job ran their own CB antennas on the towel bar behind the cab. The cable running through the headliner to the mirrors was broken, so they just went that route with great results. Mack made it difficult to remove everything just for a rubbed cable...
  15. I don't even know of a spring shop, and I'm only able to get the whole spring pack unfortunately.
  16. This is PAI's listing for E6/7 fuel supply pumps and primers, are either one of these like the one you need? I have to match these up all the time for my older truck owners, but I've never searched for an E9 (sadly).
  17. Transource Greensboro shows to have one, but I'm not sure if that's for shop use or for purchase, but I doubt you'd be able to borrow it.
  18. We usually quote the V/C gasket when we're pulling them apart for a long time, like for injectors, camshaft, timing gear repairs, etc, but we usually just reuse them for an ePRV delete. You're not wrong, those things are EXPENSIVE!
  19. We would be right at the same for two hours of labor and the parts. It's a shame you have to have a program performed, because the work isn't too difficult.
  20. Cummins would be 33, because the Cat-powered Superliners I have VIN's for are RW753's.
  21. It's still somewhat common for some applications, we've had a local customer order some trucks with dead rear axles, as well as several other companies with the same. I know a fuel hauler that had CXU's with MP7's and dead rears, but they were constantly being towed in and out all the time. Never knew what issues they were facing, other than someone that worked there previously saying they cheaped out on them.
  22. The VIN I have shows it at the top, so I'm confident it can be in both places and work just the same.
  23. The problem is, there are several exhaust temp sensors in the system. There's one specifically for the EGR, and several in the DPF/SCR area. With the truck being a 2013, there should be three in the emissions system alone.
  24. Looked up the VIN for a 2015 CXU and it appears to be mounted near the ECM, to the left of it if standing looking at the engine from driver's side.
