  1. I'll be damned. I never knew they put them in pickups
  2. I saw them in an old service manual years ago, but I never saw a real one. I kinda forgot about them. Did you ever see one?
  3. Kind of funny. I used to go up there when I operated out of Philly bringing loaded ones back to the yard and taking empties back. The standards then were if it can hook up to a chassis and move, it was good enough. Fenders torn off, bald tires, door tied shut with a rope, license plates you found in a salvage yard, massive oil leaks, no drivers license, no problem. I remember a few I didn't want to get near because they were wet staking and blowing a spray of soot, diesel, and motor oil. My 14 year old 1968 R685ST was like a Cadillac in comparison. Needless to say, I loved the place lol
  4. Ahhhhh, come on, I want to see it pulling sea containers out of Berth 80 as God and Mack Truck intended
  5. Here is something about open cabs I'd read before but forgotten. That is why they went away in the 60's
  6. Back on track here. I really like the Diamond T, maybe because I have one But the IH looks like a nice solid truck that would be easy enough to fix up and paint. I'd have a hard time cutting it up. How rusty is the Diamond T cab? Those were a good rugged cab
  7. As a racially pure blonde Polish Catholic girl she'd be something I'd be into But the truth is she is one of "Those Filthy Communists" and an atheist
  8. "F what yo mama say"
  9. It's a propaganda movie. And ridiculously over the top Why didn't Hollywood make any movies about the horrors committed by the Soviets? Sophie was a work of fiction Lore Bauer was real
  10. I have an pneumatic pump and hose reel on the wall and I buy it by the 120 pound keg. The 50W is in a 5 gallon pail with a hand pump. Not to mention the 85-140 is already what's in all the older Macks All of it's getting crazy expensive. The kegs of 85-140 are about 400 bucks now, the synthetic that is in the new trucks is close to 1,000.
  11. Gift Gas is very effective for curing all types of yuppie infestations
  12. Real estate ladies are notorious for calling code enforcement. When they get a listing, they will call on anyone near the listing
  13. There is no brass in the transmission he has. I run the 50 straight mineral in my trans that have synchros like the Fullers
  14. I use 85W-140 in the trans and rears.
  15. Looks good. Is your plan to keep the original paint and lettering?
  16. Oh BTW, there are shims needed to install a new cl50 clutch. You remove shims to compensate for wear. If his is worn out somebody probably took all the shims out already. Make sure he has them
  17. Joe at Hotrod Clutch probably has them or can build you one. I used to deal with them a lot years ago http://hrclutch.com/
  18. Sounds like a Mack CL50 clutch. Is it a push type throwout bearing? I kinda remember them being smaller than 15 though. There was s single disk CL58 too, but I never remember seeing one
  19. He had a "thing" going on with Linda Ronstadt for a while. She did a cover She was kinda cute huh?
