  1. Finished all of the cab sections, this is what I have so far
  2. Finally have the first 3rd of the cab
  3. I have got the file for a cab I scaled up and cut into sections to make it easier ti print. Besides they are a bit expensive for my wallet.
  4. Finally got the hood printed, now into the cab sections.
  5. I have got me quite a few 1/25 scale rigs as well. Just wanted to try a 1/14 scale one. I have some wheels and axles from an old Madill 009 yarder I built a while back. Converted it to tracks so I have some Dayton rims and offroad tires to play with.Speaking of less “known” Having moved to central from eastern Kentucky after my dad got hurt and the mines started shutting down, I doubt anyone around here knows the RD’s even exists. See an awful lot of R’s and F models around these parts. But back there they were everywhere, just about every 10wheel coal truck was a mack RD or Dm 600/800 I’d hedge a bet that 90% of them were macks the other 10 were international paystars or autocars. Couldn’t go a mile without seeing at least one on the road or in someone’s yard. I honestly miss seeing them. Hence why I am building one lol
  6. Hey everyone, I am starting a new project of 3d printing a Mack RD888zx coal truck in 1:14 scale. Debating on whether or not to go full RC with it. I have already made a RC 1:16 Scale Pacific P16 log truck so I may just do a static model for this. Plan on basing it off the pictures in my post. Going with a smooth side bed for simplicity. Any suggestions or ideas is welcome, already have the cab and fenders/hood created on file. Trying to get my printer sorted out for clean prints.
  7. Hello everyone I am new here so if I posted a question that has been asked before I offer my sincere apologies. I am wondering what engine options the Mack RD 800 coal trucks had available to them. I am wanting to 3d print a 1:14 scale model of one and have tried to find sales or spec sheets for them but have turned up empty handed. I am from Eastern Kentucky myself so these trucks are a part of my bloodline, a lot of my family drove them. Can’t ask them though due to the state of where I used to live. Thanks for your time.
