  1. You are probably right on the 380/410 file.
  2. I guess it would be a good idea to let you guys know what I am trying to accomplish with this truck and the story behind it so you don’t think that I am completely off my nut. I traded a farm tractor for this truck a little over a year ago, not one of my better deals but I did it so I get to live with it. The truck was a Texas oilfield truck just plain Jane no exhaust brake, one horn, and nothing fancy but that is what I wanted. It is a Maxicruse 355/380 and I am here to tell you driving this thing home was nothing to brag about, what a DOG!!! The front right tire shredded just outside of El Paso took out the right headlight and part of the hood, that cost $1000.00 for the tire and the roadside rescue, and it caught on fire before I made it home. I have been to the school of hard knocks before so I know the address by heart but I also know the recipe of how to make lemonade from lemons. I have it I own it now what do I do with it? Fix the hood - DONE Fix the tires - DONE Fix the wires from the fire - WORKING ON IT Fix the lights - ALMOST DONE Fix the exhaust - WORKING ON IT Fix the HORSEPOWER issue - WORKING ON IT WITH YOU HELP My plan as of today is to increase the horsepower file to a 380/410 with a slightly larger injector, maybe something in between the 700cc it has now and the 850cc of the E7 460 if possible. I am not even sure if a 380/ 410 file is available for this year of truck at the moment because Mack Corporate has not gotten back on this as of yet. I am relying heavily on the information that I am getting on this forum in my decisions and I appreciate your assistance. I am also toying with the idea of installing the Power Leash engine brake but I am being told that it will not work on this engine, not sure or understand why though.
  3. some guys here say turbo swap, but i wouldn't do that at first. You believe that a larger injector without a turbo swap will work good enough? The boys at my Mack dealer here in Phoenix want me to switch the turbo to a #631GC5153M4 but Mack Corp will not get back to them with the horse power increase file. I know I am playing with old toys but still.
  4. Just looking to improve the performance a little bit and not burn things down or blast the innocent with obnoxious smoke. Did you change the turbo and the exhaust manifold?
  5. My truck was built in September of 2001, was the exhaust manifold a problem that year?
  6. How do you like the stock 460 injectors? Do they smoke a lot? Do you have temp problems?
  7. What injectors did you change up to?
  8. I just checked, the wires are in the dash and the engine compartment.
  9. Joey, the truck did not come with an engine brake, so I am looking in the bone yards for parts.
  10. Hello, I am looking to add a Powerleash engine break to my 2002 Mack CH613, and need to know if this will work?
  11. Thank you, I will call on Monday.
  12. I read on here someplace that if you up the program to a 380/410 hp and increase the injector size it will really improve the performance. Have you come across a combination like that before?
  13. Hello, I was reading on this site the other day about increasing the horsepower on a 355/380 Maxicruse to a 380/410 and adding a larger injector to help with performance. Can anyone tell me what larger injector I would need to increase to and what I could expect?
