    Thanks for all the suggestions after looking at it closely. The paint shop installed the new latch with that plastic wedge under the hook part upside down. I flipped it over and that changed the angle so it doesn’t pop open.

    Does anyone have a picture of how the original hood latches are. I had my truck painted and drivers side keeps popping loose. One has a wedge plate at the top. The paint shop installed new latches and i don'thave any pictures before taking it there. Thanks for any info or pics
