    Drove a couple like that had the original seats with arm rest. No air ride seat. Just a regular car like seat with old fashion springs and cushion. Pretty comfortable believe it or not

    Did you try swapping your tires from left to right could be bad belt in the tire

    Another thing to check on the drivers side firewall there’s an airline with a shut valve usually with a red knob make sure that is on

    Did they change the little spin on air filter on the drivers side of the engine

    Did you replace both the cable housing and the drive cable or just the drive cable Maybe put a little lube in it also I’ve had the drive pin and adapter on the engine snap too. Since you replaced the tach head that’s all I can think of

    Have you changed the sensor Or is it cable drive. Seen the sensor cause a tack to do strange things. Had one not move much couple hundred rpm then stop wiorking then start again and one spun the tach all the way around

    You’ll have to shorten the drive shaft but I’m sure you already know that

    If I remember correctly the 6 speed is a single counter shaft and the 8speed is a double so that helps a little with the torque had 5:09 rear gears in it I think 68 was the top speed can’t remember

    Had a 3126 cat originally a6 speed put an 8LL in its place was a good little truck with the 8LL
